Wasn't really commenting on how the mode itself played though was I. Just on the zombies. I mean the game looks like it has had some graft put on it but just from an ideas standpoint they seemed to have played it very safe.

have you watched the video on gametrailers?

it appears that they've taken the scenario straight from the romero classic and dropped you right into it (other than the fact that you get a lot cooler weapons). finding endless waves of shambling nazi zombies while continuing to fortify your position within the house using planks to board up window openings and furniture to block stair wells. what more could you ask for?

That's the bit that I really like the sound/look of.

This (if it plays like it looks) and GOW2's horde are gonna make one helluvva great Xmas.

The big problem with Zombie mode is surely that 7 days after CoD comes out Left 4 Dead is released which offers a fully fleshed out game based on the exact same idea.

It'll be breezy fun for a few games but I can't see it offering much that L4D won't be doing better immediately after.

Unless you're on PS3 obviously in which case you won't be playing Left 4 Dead anyway.

But Left 4 Dead costs £40 for basically an extended bonus thats in COD 5.

it might be good to play, but it just cheapens the IP to me.

This has moved way down on my wanted list tbh.

I know what you mean, but they definitely had to do something different to keep the ww2 setting interesting, and this definitely does that.

I'm sure you'll have to do something daft like find all the intel documents to unlock it, and no one will ever bother.

i think you've just got to finish the game.
