It must be a stonker in MP because the Story mode's very average and the AI's laughable...really, really unintentionally funny watching them shoot over your shoulder while your facing them at 2 feet.

In which case the multiplayer must be MASSIVELY improved from the beta. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't top tier either.

Well looking at the 1UP review that reviewer really enjoyed the single player and co-op modes and thought that the multiplayer, whilst technically fine, didn't have that special 'something' that Modern Combat has.

My copy's on the way so I hope I enjoy the single player at least. Unless Mirrors Edge arrives first, then it ain't getting touched until the weekend :P

I have no intention of playing multiplayer on this one. It's all singleplayer and co-op for me and ofcourse the nazi zombie mode, if it's good.

Since it's getting some pretty good scores I guess I have to get this.

Looks like Treyarch pulled it off afterall.

The Story's picking up, did a couple of levels today god knows where I am or what I'm doing...it leaves you a little lost.

But from

Burn 'Em Out

onwards for the next couple of chapters it's pretty good. The AI still stinketh tho'.

Edit - Really quite enjoying this now...the levels improve immensely. Certain environments are amazing...

sniping through wateralls

is always a pleasure.

The Tank and Plane

sections are even ok.

I'm really interested in the Zombie mode now - will hopefully finish and unlock it tomorrow.

Or, and this is a lot more likely, Activision paid off a shitload of people.

Slow Burner? Any verdicts on the other Multiplayer maps.

Anyone planning on getting the PS2 version? Would be interesting to hear opinions if you do, might even pass on the comments if they're nice ;)

Anyhoo, it was released on the 11th in the US and comes out this Friday over here.
