Game are doing it.

I'm trying to decided between the PC & console versions, I'm edging towards the PC at the moment.

They must have recently added it to the website as i've had it on pre-order there for quite a while now, anyways thank you for the heads up, ordered.

Games like this I will always pick my PC because i always get a much better experience through improved graphical and sound quality, since I got a 360 pad for my PC and realised just how brilliantly it works I see no reason to choose a console over my PC.

Yeah, this. Try both demos and see which one looks nicer. If it's a game not especially well suited to keyboard and mouse, pick yourself up a wired 360 pad, works perfectly. This looks a lot like a mouse and keys kind of game though, as was Mass Effect.

Also, I can't find the link now, but I remember a short while ago VG247 or Kotaku posted a gallery of shots which looked like they'd stepped up the visuals somewhat.

There's a video doing the rounds that's a cut-scene from the elf character starting area. I can honestly say that it is so completely. Utterly. Ludicrously. Terribad. Beyond. Words that I'm actually 100% sold on the game for the pure comedy value. Seriously, everything shown so far has me convinced it's all some kind of meta trolling experiment by Bioware, it's hilarious.

This. It would be nice if you also posted a link Ulala, instead of just saying 'some video somewhere on the net'. I'm kinda curious to see it myself ;)

When I saw the first videos and screens of this game, my interest dropped to zero. Looked pretty awful to say the least. Surprisingly, the major reason for me being interested in this game again is this:

preorder_collectors.jpg

The collector's edition. Just like the old days, with a cloth map and everything. Not enough epic rpgs with maps nowadays, the last one I remember was Oblivion but that came with a completely useless and disappointing map. Made even more disappointing by the fact that Morrowind's detailed and colourful map was rather good and added tremendously to the experience of exploring the entire region. So yeah, this might sound like a weird reason to some but I know that there are those (Cosmic Guru for one) who will understand.

After Mass Effect it seems odd the PC's lines aren't voiced.

I pre-ordered the 360 collector's edition the other week, mainly because I hardly play PC games any more (apart from things I want to play with no console releases, generally indie games & eastern European rpgs) and the more KOTOR style viewpoint & ME evolved controls appeal more at this point. Collector's Ed because, well, look what you get.

Damn right there

However, I am not convinced the special edtion offered by GAME is the same as this - it has a different case and appears to lack the cloth map...

Can't wait for this, cheese and all. Sounds like the voice of Kaiden as well somewhere as well.

I had no idea who Kate Mulgrew is  A quick google reveals why, I never liked Star Trek....

It was an easy guess with you being the only other person on Rllmuk who actually liked Two Worlds and is looking forward to the sequel

I assumed that there was one single Collector's Edition including a cloth map, I didn't know that there were different versions without the map. Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to double-check my pre-order just to be sure.

Tbh, I've completely had it with expensive collector's editions. I used to buy the CE of every game I was somewhat interested in, but once I realized I never ever watched the the extra dvd or looked at the collectible tat more than twice, I decided to stop. But I do still have a soft spot for maps that come with western rpgs, and that's why I'm so interested in the Dragon Age CE (and why I'm seriously considering buying the CE of Two Worlds for the 360 even though I've already rinsed the game)

Can't wait for this game now after seeing those vids from Ulala. With this, Alpha Protocol, and maybe even Risen, it's going to be a good year for rpgs

I finished Two worlds and remember it was a fucking terrible game, the only two things I really remember was the horses had huge turning circles and were a pain in the arse to control and the last boss I killed in a matter of seconds because I was hugely OP at that point.

Better go check my GAME pre-order.

Two Worlds was terrible in some ways, but amazing in others. It gripped me from start to finish and I LOL'ed heartily at the dialogue and ridiculous story, it all added to the entertainment for me. The inventory, the amount of equipment, the upgrade system for armour and weapons, and the alchemy system were brilliant imo. To me it was so much better than the oversimplified mess that was Oblivion, I have something 930 out 1000 achievement points for the game and I can't wait for the sequel. I never used horses in the game btw, just the one time for 2 seconds to get the achievement. No worse than the horses in Oblivion though.

It's nice to get CEs for WRPGs if they add to the world, and the extra cost is trivial in terms of the hours of play you should get with the game, but I don't bother with them for other game types. Oblivion and Mass Effect both score in that respect with detailed summaries of events leading up to the game.

The Two Worlds one is also very good value if you can still get hold of it. I expect you get Antaloor Post which is a Two Worlds newsletter - the new game looks interesting but also some way away - I don,t know what sort of financial stability the developer has but they are taking their time wih this one it seems and hopefully they will iron out some of the basic technical issues which led to the instant rubbishing of the first game by so many.
