Just not as tough as it is to let us know that you know though, eh?

The only thing better than letting someone know something is letting them know that you know something and that you can't let them know.

So there is some new and/or awesome stuff then? Cool. After last year's "we're only showing games coming out this year" schtick, I've deliberately not been getting my hopes up.

I hope it's like last year again, and that's definitely the trend in the industry at the moment. I'm sick of delays and pointless teasing. The more games only announced 4 months before they come out, the better.

There are so many games I've known about for years that just never make any noise, I wish I'd not known about them at all.

Will we see Alan Wake?

Is that coming to 360?

I thought it was PC only, and haven't MS said that e3 will be a console only affair for them?

That statement might all be utter rubbish, but It's what my head was telling me.

I'd be damn surprised if Halo 4 was mentioned, far, far too early. They need to be hyping Halo Wars now, getting people ready for that.

Fuck it's annoying wanting to tell you guys...grr

But my keyboard is sealed till after the announcements.

Should we all prepare to start fapping ourselves into a frenzy? Surely you can give a few non-specific tidbits away?

Anyway, I think MS Waggle will be its big thing, though I think if the Mii thing is true, that'll come across quite badly. The motion controller will be enough - it doesn't want to look desperate.

Particularly as it'll almost certainly have the best software line-up of The Big Three. Alan Wake would be nice, but I'm sure we'll see a wealth of games, many of which look great, and quite a number of which will be Xbox 360 exclusive.

I really do not see how Microsoft can release a "waggle" remote and hope it can bridge the gap between it and the Wii. The reason why the Wii has succeeded is for the fact that the Wiimote comes as standard. If you release an extra peripheral, 3rd party publishers will not release games for it due to the fact that they are not guarenteed that every Xbox 360 owner will have the required peripheral. 3rd party publishers will want to maximise their profitablilty and that can only be done by releasing games they know EVERY 360 owner will be able to play.

No waggle release for Microsoft. It will be a disaster. Better stick to what they know best and try to gain that PS2 crowd who has not yet upgraded.

If they go for the waggle they will look pretty pathetic. They can't even hope to have the same understanding as Nintendo did/does of the target audience. And they have no Miyamoto.

More resources down the water.

Don't bother saying anything at all then.

HEY GUYS I GOT THIS FUCKING HUGE SECRET BUT I CAN'T TELL YOU UNTIL YOU FIND OUT FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE WHEN EVERYONE WHO GIVES A FUCK WILL ALREADY KNOW ABOUT IT ANYWAY FUCKYEAH!

Waste. Of. Time. There's absolutely no upside to this sort of posting, especially when you're working for Microsoft in their PR department.

Cause I've been a poster here since the beginning and it's tough to not let you guys know!

:)

No. No it isn't. You've been doing it your entire professional life. And if you have an ounce of integrity you'll continue doing it.

Eh? Presumably he's signed some NDA with the new job. I'm not sure how to square having "an ounce of integrity" with breaking a contractual agreement on a publicly accessible website read by loads of people, which would be immediately linked by the blogs if we ever had anything of interest to say. Maybe I misunderstand your point.

Of course, Phelan trying to look like the big man by having advance access to Microsoft PR presumably isn't going to impress anyone, but that's never stopped him before.

Eh indeed? I meant he's been keeping to NDAs his entire professional life and will continue to do so. So I disagreed where he says "and it's tough to not let you guys know!" I don't think it is.

Honestly, Graham. HONESTLY.
