Is the background still using 3d layers in AE or is it actual 3d geometry? Good luck with deadline! Can't wait to see it all polished and done.

The background in that shot is actual 3D in Max. And it isn't a case of luck with the deadline, I literally cannot finish it by then. I need something like another 2 months to get it done. But thankyou anyway!

Hand in is tommorow, I'll be giving in a very unfinished film unfortunately. I'll finish it in my own time.

I hope, if anything, it gives him a higher mark, the thoughtfulness, thoroughness and overall structuring of the project is really impressive Fargal, you've not hit the deadline because you're making a great short that means something to you, not throwing together something that fulfills a set of guidelines and was whatever you could fit in in the time, there's enough finished work to show your processes and to give a tase of the quality of the final product. Really well done, you'll enjoy lots of success in the future I'm sure.

Haha Cheeko, I wish that was the case but I'm afraid it isn't. I've been set a brief and a deadline and have failed to meet it, therefore my mark will be affected accordingly. I'm not too bothered by this fact however, I just want to finish the film regardless of how long it takes. Thanks for the support!

That's a great poster, Fargal! I was doing something similar (2d/3d animation) for my final project and didn't even get a frame of animation out! but some how scraped the equivalent to a C, your project is way further ahead and has a ton of amazing concept art/animatics etc behind it, they'd be mad to give you anything less than a great mark.

Damm that poster is nice I buyt that without the txt. Could I say your stuff reminds me alot like 4c Mindgame, no diss just something I liked alot watching while back and reminded me.

Ahh, thanks. Mind Game is my favourite film, needless to say the it inspired me by a great deal. Yuasa's more recent animated series Kaiba had a huge influence on Poy.
