Maybe in the next one you'll be able to click a thumbstick to call up a glowing line that shows you EXACTLY where to go next.

Zing!

Arkham Asylum is ace. Beautiful presentation, excellent stealth mechanics and truly innovative combat. No other game nailed that feeling of being attacked from every direction so well. The counters in particular are a thing of beauty, matching the direction of incoming attacks perfectly. Try playing something like AC2 to see how much of a step forward this system is.

It took me a few nights of play to get every gold medal for the challenges, but damn it was worth it.

A game that deserved to be the runner up in MUK's GOTY vote thread.

It's a step to the side, and back.

You're still looking at very different systems for very different game worlds.

I love both, and appreciate them for what they are.

Don't want to read into this thread and get bummed by spoilers but I have a quick question.

Will I be able to explore areas I have already visited? I only ask because I have seen a couple of Riddler statues that I can't work out how to get to the point where I assume I need some other gadget/skill to pick them up.

Yes, you can go back and get all of the Riddler statues, destroy teeth etc. after you've finished the game.

Late to the party on this one.. mainly because my 360 went tits up, and it took MS 3 goes to fix it.

But het, what a cracking action game. No real fluff or lengthening (ok, croc wasn't great, but wasn't a massive part of it). Having finishing it, I've gone back to collect the missing treasures because it's actually fun to do - not just for points.

There were several amazing Scarecrow bits, the real problem with the Croc part was it was just rubbish.

Yeah, but one was just before Croc. And since the Scarecrow bits are so ace, to have a poor section after just made it seem worse.

I actually think the Scarecrow bits were repetative and unimaginative. A real let-down.

The main part of them, ie avoiding his gaze was such basic gameplay, repeated three or four times with little variation. I loved it visually, but otherwise it felt like filler.

I would have thought they could have found other ways to visualise the struggle other than to do the same thing four times.
