The Ellenberger elbow KO was superb. Just woah. I don't like Mike Perry (not a fan of the ghetto trash talk) but that was a contender for KO of the year.

Assuming Sanchez will hang them up now. Crazy to think he's 35. He's been in so many wars.

Lobov... idk. It played out exactly as predicted; You can't win trading jabs with a guy who has such a massive reach advantage.

Is that a gut??

Or a lot of muscle...

There's always been rumours about GSP taking HGH and getting the bodybuilder 'gut'. It's either that or he's overworked his core. I've never been convinced either way. He does do a lot of gymnastics which no other mma fighter bothers with for some reason.

Chuck always had a gut, so its just how some guys go i guess. Its funny in a way that GSP is fighting 185lb, so instead of cutting 15lbs less (he was about 200lb when fighting 170lb apparently) than normal, it looks like he's putting more muscle/bulk on before he cuts down. Does that make sense?

TUF: Redemption... I like this Tom fella, he sounds like John Malkovich, with the crazy to match.

Really hope TJ smashes the tattoos off Garbrandt in July, then leaps the Octagon and starts suplexing the rest of TAM.

I like Tom to, im a hairy fucker to, and thats rare these days.

Apparentlt Jones vs DC set for UFC 214 along with Cyborg in Anaheim. Woodley is set to fight at 213, not sure against whom he'll be fighting but MacGregor has been rumoured and im struggling to think who else it would be.

Tom looked to have a gameplan too. Feel like Dillashaw is genuinely interested in the coaching while Garbrandt is more concerned about making a name for himself. Good series so far, two decent fights.

Saw Nick Diaz mentioned as a possible Woodley opponent. Tony Ferguson has also been throwing shade. The rest of the WW top end is either booked elsewhere or injured... unless Condit gets a shot but highly unlikely given he's coming off a loss. Thought they'd hold Woodley to face the winner of Maia v Masividal but guess that's out the window too.

Will Dana stick to his guns and put Jones back in a non-main event? Surely UFC need a huge PPV going into the second half of the year, can only see Jones leading that (unless they've somehow convinced Rousey to face Cyborg, which is about as likely as Mighty Mouse fighting Stipe Miocic).

Cerrone vs Lawler is expected to be on 213.

Rumors saying they want it to be Woodley vs the Maia/Masvidal winner. The latter would have to do a quick turn around but May 13 to July 8 it could be done if theres no injurys. Talk is Gunnar would be back up if the winner can't make it.

Chucks was from partying too much though. GSP isn't exactly spuds mackenzie.

Its quick but not unheard of, and certainly doable without injuries if a title is offered to Maia who has to take any chance he gets

Woodley is saying he knows the name but can't say it yet, which may be bluster. If not can't see who in the WW it'd be that hasn't already got commitment elsewhere. Would love to see El Cucuy go back up to 170 but think he's set on a tilt at the 155 title before doing so, unless he's got fed up with the McGregor (no) show.

Also how is Nick Diaz rumoured to be fighting? Have you seen how many instagram posts he's posted of him smoking weed?!

Whats there not to get ? Everyone else is booked for fights or coming of losses. He would be back up for the preferred Maia or Masvidal.

Fighters can smoke as much weed as they want. It's still a PED but an "in competition" one. So as long as you don't smoke for a couple of days before your fight your fine. Although some fighters are still dumb enough to still do that ie Kelvin Gastelum.

Even longer, potentially. And the metabolites they test for are supposed to be longer still.

Man WW and LW are a mess. So many great fighters, and yet the lack of direction has made me barely care.

Everything feels so stagnant.

It'll probably be Matt Hughes.

Im sick of this MacGregor/Mayweather bullshit, announce the fight and do it then get back to MMA. Or dont do it and have your paternity leave and then fight. UFC should tell him to fuck off or fight, he needs UFC as much as they need him.

I'd greatly debate that last part.

Anecdotally, he's bigger than the UFC amongst people I know.

And hell, he's going to have to forfeit more to the UFC from his Mayweather purse than he's made in his career so far, so he'd certainly be better off without them in that regard.

I said when this nonsense started it was just to keep their names relevant while they sit out.

On a lighter note has anyone seen the Mark Hunt action figure yet?

That'll be in the MMA hour broom cupboard pretty soon i reckon.

In other news, 2015's Chris Weidman claims he 'would have gone on to dominate' Mousasi in their fight.

49 vs 13 in significant strikes.

Some unranked guy has called Weidman out. I'm thinking if he takes the fight and loses this will be the last we hear from Chris. He's sank quicker than Big Rig after losing the belt - which I didn't think was possible.

Pity its 2017 and not 2015 then  who is that called him out?

For some reason they showed UFC67: Anderson Silva v Travis Lutter on BT the other night. Was a pretty good card, if Lutter wasnt fucked from missing weight, he could have had Silva in big, big trouble. It was bizarre as i was talking about Rampage UFC debut agaisnt Eastman to a friend at work, then it was on that card.
