You DO realize they hype the interviews like fuck? In all fairness he wasn't half playing the bad guy leading up to the fight. ;)

Oh, and if you think he's fat, you're a right thick cunt.

As for Frank Mir and Rodriguo "Lee Evans" Noguira, I do reckon Noguira's going over. Possibly by quite a margin. And I reckon Noguira can take out Brock in capable fashion... providing Lesnar doesn't steamroll him first.

Wow, you guys are f**king sensitive. "How dare you call Brock Lesnar fat!!!" F**k me, I didn't realise we weren't allowed to TAKE THE PISS on RLLMUK :(

Well yeah its frustrating but he is still the number 1 ranked heavyweight in the world in most MMA pundits and fans eyes. Who else would you rank ahead of him or think could beat him ?

Hard to say really, since I'm a little out of the loop. I know though, that I'd like to see him take on Lesnar, as Lesnar seems to have no fear, and cares little for his own lack of technique. He's stronger than Fedor, and can rely on power over technique to get him out of certain situations, though we've not seen how he reacts to spending much time on his back.

I'm not sure I could pick a better #1, but I couldn't call him a clear leader in the field. I wish we could have a big cross-promotion heavyweight tournament sometime soon, but Dana White owuldn't do that until UFC started losing popularity, and after the weekend that probably won't happen any time soon.

They owe a lot of money, and have started some kind of administration procedings (I think), but there's a possibility that they'll come to some kind of arrangement with the Showtime network (one of their creditors), and put on some shows next year. It's all up in the air, though.

are we still spoilering? its over now by a few days...so

some cracking finishes on 91 then eh, maia completely just taking quarry apart...i think the days of strikers are really numbered. him and bisping?...woudlnt last a round.

and the knockout of the night was surely that beautiful uppercut, the amount of times they slo mo replayed it...just a perfect strike.

the lesnar fight was a massive anticlimax. nog will destroy him on the ground after taking the customary punches to his face. i wish mir would just go away, doubley so after seeing him on TUF. hes a dick and hes past it.

He certainly does have his fans. I'll never understand why they have such conviction, and it's a shame that by the time we see him fight anyone who isn't a lame duck, he'll be past his best, and there'll be a boatload of excuses for his defeats.

I like watching the guy, but having this unwavering faith in him just seems madness.

I was absolutely gutted at Randy losing, I honestly thought he'd wear him down over the rounds. Lesner is a joke, the quicker he's tore down for good the better for the sport.

Wanna explain why Lesnar in the sport is a joke? Explain how it's any different to someone else with a wrestling background becoming part of MMA. Is it because he was a Pro Wrestler? Cause if that's the reason, it's a fucking weak one. It's not like Kimbo Slice who is some random street thug who only got big because of Youtube. It makes me laugh when people think that Pro Wrestlers are soft and could never hang with real fighters just because what they do is pretermined and parts are choriagraphed. I'm not saying all pro wrestlers could stick it out in the octagon, but I could deffinatly name a good few who'd do well with the right training, just like Lesnar is doing.

I really hope Lesnar gets to fight Nog and wins, just to shut people up.

i think people are miffed lesnar was fasttracked to a title shot because of his name, even if he is a worthy opponent. he wont beat anyone with submission skills though, hes only won it because the division is empty. nog will do mir in three, and completely school lesnar next year.

I don't see it like that. MMA is getting big, so more guys are wanting to try it. Plus Lesnar only got the fight cause Couture demanded it. I think it should have been Nog vs Couture and Lesnar should have had to win at least 2 more fights before given the title opertunity.

He was a pro wrestler for about 5 minutes, how could that be the reason? He won. He landed his punch, that's the bottom line so he deserves his next fight. That's the honour MMA still has. I just don't like seeing business overriding the sport.

Sorry this is confusing but you still talking about Fedor ?

He is fighting Arlovski in January and beat Sylvia in his last fight. When he beats Arlovski his next fight is expected to be Barnett. Those are all top ranked heavys far from lame ducks. If the number two ranked heavy is Big Nog [who I am a fan of] well he almost got ko'd by a shot Herring, struggled with Sylvia and is now facing Mir who was never that good in the first place. I'd take Fedor's recent competition over that [plus Nog has taken an absolute beating everytime he has faced Fedor].

You can't hate the guy just because he is'nt in the UFC either. The reason the Couture fight never happened is just as much Dana Whites fault for offering a shit deal to Fedor in the first place.

Yeah, I have to admit, it was a good move for business that Lesnar/Couture happened, but it was his fourth fight in his ENTIRE MMA career.

It's not like Couture won his first UFC title in his fourth fight. :)

Exclusive: Silva vs. Liddell at UFC 95

By Jeremy Botter : November 16, 2008

Our sources tell us that the UFC are in the process of finalizing the main event for UFC 95 in London, and it’ll be Chuck Liddell taking on Anderson Silva in a light heavyweight bout. I’m not sure what the status of the contract negotiations are, but I’m under the impression that it’s either a done deal or is very nearly a done deal, and it could be announced tomorrow.

The bout would match up two of the most exciting and feared strikers in the sport and is a dream match for most UFC fans.

Also

Various sources are suggesting a possible Mike Bisping Vs. Damian Maia as well.

Pro Wrestling is the reason some people think of him as a joke. Not nessasarily just because he was a wrestler but more because his time in pro wrestling made him a very big name. Coming in to UFC with that name meant he could demand a lot of money. The Large Paycheck demanded he go straight in at the deep end with Big name Fighters like Frank Mir. Thats why he didnt build up through the ranks.

I don't hate the guy because he isn't in UFC, I think he's great to watch, and Dana White is ruining the sport.

You're judging him by the quality of people he hasn't fought. He did great against Sylvia at the start of this year, but the Arlovski fight is in doubt due to an injury, and talking about an expected fight after that, rather than what has actually happened thus far, is ridiculous. Look to his fights before Sylvia; circus shows designed to make Fedor look good. Whilst his fans may love those, they're being the denied the chance to see him at his best.

Also, for the sake of the sport, I hope Lesnar continues to shut his detractors up. Yes, he was fast-tracked, but Couture's lack of interest as UFC champ (again White's fault) had all but killed the HW division. Things might just get interesting again now. Dana White saw him as a meal ticket, all Lesnar is doing is seemingly trying to improve, and running with the ball he's been given.

I was pointing out to you that he is lined up to fight top heavyweights for Affliction because you had said " and it's a shame that by the time we see him fight anyone who isn't a lame duck, he'll be past his best". Arlovski and Sylvia are both former UFC champs and still highly ranked. If you had said this a year ago I might have agreed but not now he is pulling his finger out and making decent fights again.

I'll reappraise when he's actually had the fights, and it's not just hype.

When Fedor demolishes Arlovski Jan 24th you'll realise that massive error of your ways. To the person that says that Brock might be able to beat Nog and Fedor:

LOL

Fedor would be able to sub Brock from his back without much trouble imo, Brock's a top athlete, but he's not a top grappler... he wasn't dominantley strong against a 220lb 45 year old Couture, and while he's powerful and has long range, his strikes weren't hugely varied or quick. Fedor would beat Brock at least 8 times out of 10 at the moment.

Nog may take a severe pummeling in the process but he'd submit Lesnar as well, I'd mortgage my house and bet on it.

Lesnar is a hardcore athlete man, seriously it aint right to me he got his title shot so quick butbusiness is business. When Lesnar played NFL he beat the number 1 draft running back in every section of their bencmark tests not to be sniffed at in anyway at all.

Mike Zambidis is an amazing fighter, great fun to watch. His fight against MMA featherweight Kid Yamamato is brilliant.

Give Melvin Manhoef a try... a middleweight MMA fighter and kickboxer who regularly battles against some of the best names in K-1. Between boxing and MMA, he has 66 fights, 56 wins and 46 KOs... he's not actually much cop at MMA but is prob one of the most exciting fighters around to watch.
