Aspinall v Blaydes this weekend in London is a very interesting.

Just going through the media bits. Very interesting mate.

Leavitt Vs. Pimblett's very interesting too. I haven't seen much of him tbh, but what I have seen - I can see Leavitt going through him like a hot knife through butter.

I was gonna say, is O'malley even ranked? Yan must be needing a fight or getting good pay for that, it could be a good fight. Sugar has such a reach for his division that even someone as complete as Yan could have problems.

That 280 card is gonna be crazy good if it stays as planned.

I read his dad was the first black belt BJJ in the UK earlier this evening.

No way?! That’s pretty awesome.

Big test for Aspinall but he’s passed every one since he’s been in the UFC. Hopefully it’s one hype train that keeps chugging on.

I think it was in YT comments so, just word of mouth.

But yeah man. Blaydes is a tough dude, but Aspinall's definitely got some unique attributes and skills for the HW division. I think a fight with Gane would be sickers if he can get a win over a guy like Curtis.

Oh FFS. That’s a crap end to the night. Gutted for Aspinall, that’s probably at least a year out now.

See that one-two Curtis clocked him with though 👀. Looked like it was gonna be a short fight either way, in favour of both of 'em like. Shame.

Yeah, that second punch was an inch or two from ending the fight. Without the knee injury doubt the fight would have gone much beyond a minute anyway.

Edwards finally gets his title shot Saturday against Usman. He def as a good chance of winning he's very well rounded, but Usman is obviously a beast of a fighter. However, he's fought colby twice and Jorge twice and Gilbert and Edwards is better than those 3 as an all rounder I feel. Nothing against Kamaru but I'd love Leon to win.

Rockhold vs Costa could be a total shit show or could be entertaining im not sure. Bloody hell I just saw it was at 185, I assumed it was 205lbs, worth  bet one or both guys miss weight.

Can't remember the last time someone got KO'd like that was.

Edit: Probably Masvidal Vs Usman actually.

It had echoes of Holly Holm Vs Rousey, but Rousey was getting pieced-up by that point of the fight. Maybe Rose Vs JJ for shock-factor?

OVP landed a brutal one at MSG (217?), and Shevchenko’s Vs Jessica Eye was stunning, but neither were against a P4P great. Rogan is a goon but enjoyed him repeatedly asking to see a replay, then DC just waxing lyrical about sports being amazing.

And the footage from Edwards’ gym was great too.

Wasn't impressed with Edwards' constant cheating (maybe the Belal no contest wasn't so accidental) but I guess they all do it to an extent. The main thing is Usman's reign of terror is over, he's had it for long enough. Edwards put the graft in like not many others have done, hell of a post fight promo too.

Rockhold/Costa was weird. Entertaining as fuck and considering Luke is one of my most loathed fighters ever I actually found myself sympathising with him post fight.

Yeah he was grabbing the gloves a fair bit plus a cage grab, but as you say everyone does it to some degree. Usman is one who grabs the cage to hold people against it and stopped a possible takedown with grab also. The eyepoke during the fight wasn't really a foul iirc and he's not like Jones or bloody DC with the eye attacks.

He properly done it from England too, Bisping moved to California to win his title. If you look at Paddy as an example, all the talent but his ill-discipline will cost him and he should look at Edwards as an example. A fight at Wembley would be insane

You liked the post fight promo? I thought it was awful. Just kept saying 'look at me now' over and over again. I was pleased he won but that irritating speech makes me hope he loses the title again pretty quickly.
