Yeah, you're right. I might do the same. Only two weeks to go! I already made the mistake of looking at kotaku's frankenreview, and I was annoyed enough at finding out how many chapters are in this.

I guess that wasn't too bad though, you can generally tell when you're near the end of a game.

I'm too weak NOT to watch it, but... AGH.

It's spoilerific from the outset.

Had to stop watching after a few seconds as it was showing new cutscenes and the irritating VO bloke starts spoilering setpieces.

Tried to skip forward a bit, but ended up in the middle of more spoilers.

It worked fine for me before the demo was available to all, but now there tends to be around 15-17,000 people on at a time — as opposed to the 3-6,000 previously — I haven't been able to get a single match. Most annoying.

This was on shopto about a week ago for preorder at 32.95. I didn't because I was waiting for a new card to come from the bank.

Yesterday the card arrived and now the preorder at shopto has gone up to 39 quid I think. What the fuck. Anywhere around nearer to the 30 quid mark?

Good luck with using that new card with shopto!

They're fucked for me at the moment, I've been on the phone several times complaining that i can't add my new Debit card.

They're having troubles with the card registering company they use and I've heard it's been effecting lots of people.

I've always used Shopto, they send games off early and offer great prices, but It's fairly shit when I actually WANT to buy from them and I can't even do this!

It's 38 - 40 across the board as far as I can tell. Best bet is probably to hope for a supermarket special, but I don't think it's quite big enough for that.

If it's any consolation, the special tin edition with the postcards and stuff is £40 at game.co.uk if you're going to be spending the money anyway.

Will the tin edition have the normal game box inside? I hate using LE boxes that aren't the standard or don't give you the standard box,

Ah yeah that looks like that tin Halo 2 box- I always end up denting these things or something. I'll search around and find something around 35 or less. Not that the game isn't worth it, but I'm just determined after having thought it would cost me 33!

Edit- Yeah everywhere does seem to be above 37 quid at the least. Sneaky bastards must know everyone will want this

Yeah, that's understandable! I'll be going tin, because I'm a sucker for anything limited edition. :) Plus I want to be a walking target with my golden AK and Beretta! ;)

This multiplayer demo is very addictive, once you get the hang of the controls and get to know the levels a little. I love the Snipers/Pistoles and Pistols/Grenades modes. Shame the Matchmaking often takes forever to find you a game (at least, it did for me). Remember to back out of Matchmaking to visit the Store, which I initially assumed was the PlayStation Store so ignored - but actually it's where you spend the money you earn and where you can buy the boosters.

Having played it for 5 hours solid... I think this is going to be up there with COD4 and the Halos as a very good, addictive multiplayer arena mode. The climbing and cover elements definitely add something fresh to the deathmatch/objective experience. They've also borrowed some of the best ideas from many other recent games to provide a nicely polished experience.

Hopefully the glare will be so bright that no-one will be able to aim at me. Have you sorted out your headset yet? It's amazing what a difference it makes! ... also, I'm all about the FAL these days, the scope is lovely!
