Lambo is SHIT! Such a small turning circle, handles like a dog, and doesn't seem that much faster than the M3. I tried a few laps with it and turned it off cause I actually thought the car was rubbish. :D

Steve, you can turn Ghost cars off by the way if they are annoying you. Just go to the Ghost options on the TT setup screen, I always turn them off and only have the ghost for the current session on.

Ooh, cheers. I must have another look at the options. It has always annoyed me no end that it keeps adding an extra ghost until 3 are onscreen. It really puts me off. I find myself swerving to avoid the buggers :D

:D Quick restart wouldn't be too useful anyway as the speed you start at on the first rolling start lap is a good bit slower than the speed you'd be crossing the line at on a proper hot lap.

I find when I'm on a roll anyway, I'll knock out 4 or 5 near perfect laps in a row with times on fractions of a second off each other so like to just keep going through the lap anyway even if I messed it up to keep the racing momentum.

Can't wait to try the next weeks course anyway.

Was going to say the same thing as sean actually - a lack of quick restart is a pain. Failing that why not just have the car pass the start finish line at the speed it's capable of reaching when doing a flying lap?

I don't get why they made it so that the first lap is basically an installation lap. It's a minor gripe but when going for those precious few tenths, the ability to hit restart and be getting on with the next lap would be a godsend. I must be getting impatient in my old age!

It's been amazing seeing how many people have come back to this though. I think the last time we did the time trials it ended up with maybe 4 of us taking part? I hope it lasts a good deal longer this time.

Excellent, I'll get cracking on a time in a bit.

I was going to suggest that the track that is selected should take around a minute to do a full lap on. This way if you mess it up on the first corner, It's only around a minute of driving before you're on another hot lap.

PGR Nations reports that the top times for this track in a class D car are in the 1:20's so it's all good.

I know, It was only a tentative effort to get to know the track like. It may stick like shit to a Bears ass but its slow on the long straights. I think this track calls for some proper Detroit muscle.

Interesting choice of track, conditions and car classs for that reason. It may well be worth going for the car with big top end and tiptoeing it round the bends.
