360. Luckily loading the autosave from the end of the mission got me out of it with the mission still completed. Dropped me back at the ranch though!

Surely there are non dlc co-op missions as the previews seemed to say you could just play co-op mission with buddies.

I'm the scourge of wildlife in this game. About 4 hours play time clocked and I've spent most of that wandering about shooting anything that flies, crawls, slithers or walks.

Got ambushed by a gang of four bandits, had the option to pay them off but instead I dead-eye headshotted the lot of them

Sorry if this has been answered but I want to avoid spoilers so I'm not really reading all this. Can someone tell me the difference between the different aiming settings? Does expert just have less auto aim?

Just went to the local Tesco's and Morrisons and neither had RDR

They did have Alan Wake though. Still, bit poor I thought, was hoping Tesco's would have it as its supposed to be cheaper there isnt it? Will have to get from the local Asdas though I guess, ho hum.

It is wierd that neither had this though, but Morrisons is more food oriented and Tesco's seems to be going to shit, so...

I'll give Asdas a ring and see if they have it in stock. Whats peoples multiplayer experiences been like so far btw?

Expert has zero auto-aim.

I think the other two options are that the middle one has regular auto-aim type assist and will allow you to finely nudge the reticule up, down, wherever to go for head-shots and the like, whereas the easiest option has full on snap-to lock if you're just pointing vaguely in the direction of anyone. Not sure on that, but it'll be something along those lines I'm sure.

Expert is absolutely fine though, really. At the very least, start it on Expert and then drop down if you should find yourself really struggling with it.

Well because the shops are as useless, Morrisons was a no go and we had to drive 20+ minutes to Tescos. F**king mailorder preorder next time as usual. I wish I had gone to shopto/the hut/zavii/gameplay now!

I don't get maps in this game. Like sometimes there will be 2 destinations on the compass and I have no idea which is nearest because I have no map. I got a map for a little village but that's all. I don't even understand where this map is where you're supposed to be able to warp to visited areas.

I hope the flakiness of the online mode is just launch problems. Voice chat breaking up and disconnections aren't exactly encouraging even if it is a helluva lotta fun when its working.

Well, today I decided to read the manual for a change (and found out how to do an evading roll and that it's possible to greet NPC's with the B button in single player mode) and besides the hideouts where you can kill thugs, there are apparently also hunting grounds in free roam where you can shoot bears and pumas with your buddies to earn XP. The first DLC pack (I forgot the exact date) is a co-op mission pack btw.

well I just thought I'd see if I could start a bar brawl. Hit the button that did the roll went staright into some kind of excution attack where I blew the top of the poor bastards head off from the chin upward. Looked amazing but I have no idea what I did.

I've been doing nothing but hunting it's fuckin awesome.

Staying on the exact same topic, I gave the multiplayer a go and loved it. Got myself some nice KDR while successfully completing the objectives on Gold Rush and felt in control. It was a breath of fresh air after all that Host Is God lagging nonsense on MW2. Then I noticed in one game the shots that were killing before were no longer doing so, and opponents were instead destroying me with one shot. What is this? Do I have to go through all that MW2 connection frustration here as well?

I failed the horse race at the start as I shot my horse by mistake, so he was wounded.

I was just racing back to the Macfarlane Ranch with Bonnie, top speed, holding down B to see the point of interest, when my gee-gee jumps straight over a barn fence. Only problem was that there was an old lady in a bonnet stood in front of the fence and the horse pretty much took her torso clean off her body in a splash of red.

In less amusing news, I bloody fell asleep on the sofa and only just woke up in time for Ashes to Ashes. So much for trying out the multiplayer with you lot.

You can use the d-pad instead

Yeah, problem is the deadzone seems to be a bit fucked on the stick, so it has to be very precisely centres so as not to ovveride the d-pad. Same goes for other games - if it's slightly off centre in something like MW2 it can balls up my sniping as the enemy see a bush very slowly shuffling around. Needs replacing one of these days, really.

I was challenged to my first duel earlier. Surrounded by expectant townsfolk I couldn't bear to just plug the idiot in the head so decided to try something different, as he drew I shot the gun out of his hand and he ran off clutching it.

I love that they gave me that option!

Well the multiplayer we tried tonight; mixed bag.

The stand-off before games is fun, yet the "Capture the gold" thing is rubbish; and if I want team shooters I'll go elsewhere.

Seems that we never got a proper co-op "posse". To me this would be us CANTERING as a group (holding A, as we know we can do) to a destination to fight bad guys.

We sort of did it once, where upon it was just me and about 3-4 other guys shooting up the AI chaps.

However my first experience of the multiplayer was "You shot Meerman's Donkey's head off" which was brilliant

Also - the fact that the Co-op missions are DLC is sucky, and Rockstar are indeed vampire-money-sucking-sonsobitches.
