Rllmuk Arcade Stick Thread

Considering it uses a Sanwa stick, quite reliable- quality parts like that are designed for heavy use and durability. The hori buttons are easy to swap out for proper ones too so it is a really easy stick to look after. If any of the parts mess up in future it is easy to order new ones and just swap them out.

A nice price as well!

That's good enough for me. I just bought it :coffee:

on the train with the ridiculously huge box under my arm now. Now to relearn everything I know before Super comes out...

Where's a good place to import sanwa parts (volcanic ash aside)?

I really just want to change the colour of my TE stick buttons/ball head, and work out the artwork later.

http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk/

Easiest since they're based in the UK

If you want to go for more colour variety consider Seimetsu buttons- they offer more variety than Sanwa. If Gremlin doesn't have the variety you need, google lizard lick who are based in the US and who have a nice range of parts

I need this for my VF5 Sessions.

Some bredda has made a replica Lindburgh 2 Player control panel.

If this was mine I would be all like 'Suck my cock, I've got a knife'

Oooh I like that a lot - may have to yonk the design for my next build!

It's not my on my bed, but here's a snap of her on my living room rug :(

I didn't realise how huge proper arcade sticks are!

I had a quick go on SFIV yesterday and really struggled with it. I couldn't do ultras or Dhalsim's teleport reliably, but I guess that'll come with time. Charge characters are SO much easier now, which is nice.

FYI This guy is selling plexi covers of various types for TE fightsticks. He sells standard slot ins and also extended ones which mean you can remove the red plastic border around the current insert.

6 and 8 button types available. Also available in clear for your own design.

Also sells dust washers in white, black or clear:

I'm putting in an order as soon as I decide what I want. I may just get a black one with blue/green buttons and then get my mate to do a nice 'Morrius' graffitti tag to stick on it. Luckily I have a print studio downstairs in my office, so I can get whatever I wanted printed on anything I like :P

Anyone got a link to a tutorial for creating the mockups you see all over the place? I really want to test out a few things. I assume it's on shoryuken but I can't find the right thread...

This one?. There are links in that thread to Photoshopped examples of art, plus PSD layouts as well.

Quick question, Hori EX2 any good, seen one for forty quid somewhere, wondering wether to go with it or save the extra £20-30 for a Mad Catz SE. Both would likely be modded down the line.

EX2 is a fine stick for £40, but if you're sure you're going to mod it in future then you really need to get one of the Mad Catz ones because it's a bazillion times easier to do with them.

The EX2 is a pain in the arse to mod- you need to do some soldering and probably grind some stuff down to fit. If you intend to mod, get a SE. You can simply swap out all of the parts. You should be able to find them for around £50ish

The EX2 is an alright stick in it's own right though if you can find it for less than £30- it's not worth any more than that anymore imo. The SE is heavier and slightly bigger so it has that advantage too.

The EX2 is a pretty good starter stick. I used to have one for ages, and it served me well. Keep in mind though, if you want to change any of the parts for better ones in the future, you'll have to be a dab hand with the soldering iron. I'd say that out of the box, it's as good (if not, slightly better) than the Mad Catz SE. The SE has the added bonus of being absolutely pish to change the buttons about on.

Actually, I may as well kill two birds with one stone. Is anyone selling an EX2 or SE at the moment? I lost my old EX2 after a little argument with my old landlord ended with him changing the locks on my old flat a few days earlier than expected. Bastard!

Yeah in general if you guys want to get any sticks for Super, you should do it now before the prices might rise again. It won't be anywhere near as insane as last year when IV came out, but demand should still go up in two weeks or so.

i foresee amazon going out of stock at some point soon because they're sending all their TE sticks to me! first replacement showed up damaged so second replacement is on its way. i'm not sending back my original one until i get one that i'm sure works, so at the mo they're just sitting next to each other looking pretty.

When they were going for around £50 I was gutted I had to source one for £65. Now it looks like a bargain again. Who's laughing now, bitcheeees?!? Ahem.

Yeah I got a Round 2 for £74 and I still see that as a pretty great deal considering none of the £55 ones were the Round 2 all black design. The pre TE:S sticks are all out of production now and considering the new sticks aren't anywhere as nice looking as the original TE's- I'm glad to own two of them. Just waiting for it to arrive today, its out for delivery now- could be 5 mins away as we speak... :P

Or could be hours away! The pain :(

Argh, I hate the wait. I put 3 hours into SF3 last night, to alleviate the pain of the wait for SSF4. Didn't help for long... maybe 5 mins? :P

As for modding the TE, anyone done it? I worry about buggering it up unlike any other mod I've done, as I worship that stick and would cry real tears if I hurt it.
