Rllmuk Arcade Stick Thread

I just called their number 01908 336 530 and got through to their voicemail. So left a message with them to call me back... hopefully they\'ll get back to me sometime this afternoon!

:):D:lol:

Sorry..

I did that several times when I realised I had some duff(ish) buttons on mine when SFIV originally launched... I'd STILL be waiting for them to get back to me if I hadn't just modded the thing - weeks later with proper ones.. They don't have tech support from what I've seen :o

Plus the stick is much worse after a few months play - that needs a replacement next..

Fightsticks are essentially a nice box to put proper Sanwa etc.. bits in

May as well have bought a TE by now... :P

Anyone recommend a good place to do custom stickers to go over/instead of the existing artwork?

So you reckon stick/ button replacement will rectify the issue?

From other forums I've read that it could well be a PCB problem.... :o

It did for me - but IF you can get Madcatz to pay attention (good luck) or take it back to the shop - you might be better off trying those options first...

Add me to the cool stick club. And hey, I don't even have to take a pic since I bought it off Syntax:

It's quite a lot nicer than a Hori EX2, isn't it?

Now just to make it worth buying...

I read up on the LT and RT thing a bit more - seems that the culprit is a build up of static that shorts the circuit to the PCB for those buttons alone.

So I played the the stick on a wooden table and unplugged and replugged the stick in and it seems to have rectified the issue. Hopefully it'll stay that way :(

Where are people getting their custom stick artwork printed in the UK? I've got a Photoshop template all ready to go, but I don't think my crappy home printer's really up to the task :)

Yeah, I'm curious about this too - suppose a lot of print places must do them...

Something like this possibly?

http://www.diginate.com/products/stickers/...vinyl-stickers/

Looks like they'll do one off gloss vinyl stickers around A4 size (perfect for the Fightstick, but seems they'll do any size..) for under 9 quid inc VAT and postage...

fuck you guys for buying all the sticks while i'm at work with shopto blocked.

you don't need a stick you need a new mic or mic connector. I thought you had like 4. Dumb ass question but what is expected life time of TE Arccade Stick. Do they ever go bad. I thought my stick was 4 life yo. Am disappoint if not.

i got a new headset and it sounds exactly the same. i need to test it at someone else's house to see if my house just picks up crazy alien broadcasts or something, but other than that i'm stumped. a wireless mic is a pretty expensive experiment but i guess if it don't work i can send it back. sigh.

i have two sticks still, but my friend borrowed one and now the original is lonely.

oh and i think the stick loosens up after a while but you should be golden for a good long while. and if it starts to feel worn out you can buy a new jlf or whatever they call 'em and just pop it in there :-) nice and cheap.

So lets recap

stick 1 mic 1 = interference

stick 2 mic 1 = interference

stick 1 mic 2 = interference

stick 2 mic 2 = interference

you tried all those combos? I can post you my headset to try when I am off on my hols if you like. You said you didn't get a connector wire with your T.E. sticks though didn't you? Maybe there is somekind of earthing issue. Anyone here that can help?

It is a bugger cause I do find it annoying but enjoy a good chin wag when playing. Looking on google then someone in AV forums had same issue but there is no solution posted :-(

yeah i tried all those combos and even tried it with the little headset adapter wires that come with the TE stick. someone suggested it might be interference from other cables so i unplugged everything except the tv and xbox and moved all the other cables out of the room, and it was still just the same (except for one glorious moment when my friend on the other end of the line shouted "wait, it's perfec.. oh wait no the noise is back"). i know how annoying it is because an as-yet unidenitified member of team rllmuk seems to have a similar problem and it puts me right off, so i'm obviously going to keep trying to work out what's wrong. if i take it to my friends house and the interference is gone then i guess i'll just have to move house (i'll be sure to take my TE stick with me to check for interference when looking at potential new homes). hope my girlfriend will come with me.

alistarr, sorry if you've already answered this but are you hearing the other person fine but when you talk they hear interference?

Really stupid question but have you tested with more than one person? I can be around later if you want to try it with someone else? Strangely I did have some problems in a lobby the other night so I would like to test too (I could hear people fine).

yeah, everything's lovely and clear on my end. and, as noted when i was first grumbling about it, the same headset(s) work perfectly with standard wireless xbox 360 controllers.

tested it with plenty of lobbies of different people, with a bunch of people from here separately, and did an extensive session of testing with a friend (while moving wires around, swapping sticks, etc) and by recording voice messages. as the recordings sound just as crappy it seems like it would obviously be a problem with the microphone input of my stick...if i hadn't tried it with three different sticks.

i'm probably not around tonight but would be happy to help you out if you need at some other point - tag is ALI5T4RR and i'm friends with rllmukSSFIV so you can find me without adding me to your friends list if your list's full.

What about the stick you lent to a mate - does he get the interference when he uses it? If not what about borrowing his mic to prove it must be your mic or house If he does then it isn't your house and must be the stick or mic.

Is your house built on the old grave yard of Red Indians and do objects move about the room violently for no reason (I don't mean when the missus id throwing a paddy). Maybe you need a priest to exorcise the demons of past warriors from your stick

It is like you got a free logic puzzle with your arcade stick purchase.

i borrowed his mic while lending him a stick so that's the last thing i need to test, i think - take the headsets to his place and test there before i get the stick back.

the only time objects move around the room is when my cat falls off a table in amazement at the sick bug combo i just landed on your nu.

so no, what i'm saying is objects don't move around the room.

Your mic hum is a proper mystery, I hope you get it fixed cos I've still got you on mute since last time we were in a Blazblue lobby. Team rllmuk's on the case though - we'll crack it. Did you say already that you get no interference using a pad with a mic, only with the TEs? Hmm. Interesting...

I wonder if could be some kind of earthing issue. This could be why you get it via usb and not wireless.

I remember getting an earth hum using a laptop connected to an amplifier (which i bought a ground loop isolator for) but I assumed that was because both items were earthed.

So my TE Stick faceplate arrived from Germany this very morning.

Big ol image dump to follow. Gentlemen, start your engines - this is basically TE stick porn.

Very, very happy with the result. Really easy to do as well, considering this is essentially my first mod - now toying with the idea of swapping the buttons out.
