Mass Effect 2: More waxing goddamn nostalgic.

For the love of all things good, please let Aria be back in ME3.

She is just the best character in the whole ME universe as far as I'm concerned - would bloody love Bioware to do some 'Tales of Aria' stuff...there's enough not told about her life that it could be mega awesome ace etc etc.

I'd forgotten all the little touches this game has.

The game shop on the citadel and the 2 Krogans talking about fish and guns had me laughing again. I also finished the Firewalker DLC for the first time, is it my imagination or did most people hate it? I quite enjoyed it if I'm honest, don't think I'd pay for it but for a freebie it's not bad.

That was staggeringly abrupt. Saved my crew.

I kept my previous Shepard's slightly dodgy face on the basis that I was unlikely to cobble together a reasonable substitute in the editor.

Getting used to the new controls and hacking is a remarkably good simulation of the feeling that your limbs and brain don't quite work.

It's a shame you can't tinker with the existing face rather than having to start all over again. Technical obstacle I take it?

I hope I can give my canonshep a skinhead for ME3.

I really like how you wake up and within three seconds you're pistol-toting in over-the-shoulder action game view, it's a real statement of intent.

So the death was what was spoilered for you? I think most people awaiting the game at launch knew it was coming (the trailers were very very suggestive...but I know a couple who went in blind and where just shellshocked by what happens. Especially as it's a bit brutal with Shep struggling and suffocating in space

(Although it's obviously undone a few minutes later :P)

It is a remarkably pointless scene, everyone survives and you get everything back in like half an hour. It's there to give an opening action scene and to justify a "this is why you're level 1 again" thing.

It's a standard trope, and a pretty smart way of dramatically changing the lay of the land while staying in the same universe.

I did wonder if they basically wanted to have the pretitles of ME2 as the ending of ME1. Ultimate cliffhanger!

Replaying the Zaeed mission and whilst I think I've played it both ways,

is there a way to both safe the folks about to burn in the factory, and kill Vito too, or is it one or the other? If there isn't, then I bloody well hope Zaeed's able to batter him good in ME3!

I'm doing the dialogue choices the same way as before - respond as I would like to respond - and I'm getting a much more varied distribution between Paragon and Renegade points this time around.

Is there a way to turn off the Achievement popups? They're getting on my nerves.

I am so weary of this game right now :( I have played it a variety of ways in order to give me a nice choice of saves to carry over. But then found I had somehow deleted my main shep and so now I'm frantically playing it again, But it means also doing the side missions and DLC as I want as complete a carry over as possible. It is getting tiresome doing all that stuff again for the umpteenth time though :(
