You can save any match after playing it. To have it uploaded to your profile, you have to be playing ranked, and both players have to agree to allow an upload before the match starts. It's an extra button press so it never happens. If you have one uploaded, your friends can download it, which is cool. <_<

so which characters should i avoid if i don't want to get abuse in lobbies for always picking the best guy? and are there any to avoid because they just suck too much?

V-13 and Arakune, mostly. Although I think there is at least some skill involved in getting competent with Arakune, less so with V-13. Jin will likely see loads of abuse to begin with as well, but he's not amazing or anything, just very solid. As for the worst, Tager is rooted to the bottom, though I still do well with him, and I think Bang/Hakumen are considered to be the next worst. I wouldn't pay it any mind, really. Just pick who you like the look of.

i was liking the look of the girl on the cover, but will probably try out everyone and watch the dvd etc. i'm rufus through and through on street fighter though, so i figured it might be good for me to step away from the fat if i was picking up a new game, help keep 'em separate in my mind. i know joffocakes is taking a different approach!

thanks for the character writeups though. i'll be firmly in the "not particularly skilled" camp anyway so can't really see people getting too frustrated with my wily ways in any case.

On the PSP version, I've managed to pick up Litchi. Getting used to how all the commands work with/without pole, and getting some good damage combos in. Mixups are hugely key with her it seems.

I'll be picking up the 360 vers, just secondhand <_<

Really looking forward to getting this, been checking out a few YouTube vids in prep, quite like the look of the dude with the hat/long coat/Q thing going on (edit: Hazama). I'm expecting this to blow my eyes out of my sockets in terms of how nice the hi-res sprites look.

It goes without saying that I'm totally looking forward to getting battered in a lobby off everyone in this thread.

Edit2: FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! No Hazama in Trigger. Bah!

I'm getting tempted to pre order (360), but the make or break will be the online play. None of my friends will play this locally so all of my play will be on live.

Anyone know what the online is like on ps3?

There a few PS3 users in this very thread who have said that online is sublime on the PS3 version, spouting claims such as 'best netcode in any fighting game evar' - but keep in mind that everybody here is now aiming to pick up the 360 version for Rllmuk lobby action. So if you don't want to miss out on that you should maybe consider going 360 instead. Just sayin'.

Yeah, rereading your post you clearly stated you were looking at a 360 preorder :quote: In my defense I am kind of in a hurry to get back to Yakuza 3 when I got stuck reading Discussion for a bit - two addictions competing for my attention ;)

I'm still not sure if this coming out this friday or next? Because I'll get it launch day if its next but can't afford it this week- I spent an unexpected fat wad of money on new gaming headphones so I hope its the 26th that it releases on!

Pre-ordered the 360 version today. I'm going to struggle early on because I've played pretty much every GG game and BlazBlue on a Dreamcast, PS2 or PS3 pad to date. It'll be as big a transition as learning to play SF on a stick was.

SANDUHWEECH!

All the sites i've checked say 26th now:(

All the shops here in Holland (or at least the ones I checked) still say the 19th... please let it be the 19th, I neeeeeeeed some epic lobby action it has been too long :)

I blame Uzi for jinxing it by wishing it would be delayed for everybody because he happened to spend too much on other frivolities this week. How selfish

Edit: also what the fuck is wrong with whoever is publishing Blazblue over here?! I mean, it's as if they thought the release date wasn't yet close enough to SSFIV, noooo let's delay the game another fucking week and really go for that overlap!

(I'm still buying it of course, I'm just very impatient. This and Yakuza 3 are my most anticipated games for this month)

MWAHAHAHA!

I can buy it on launch date now. And don't give me evil eyes, someone said the release date was a week later for god of war 3 long before I splooged all my cash!

I'm really looking forward to this. I only ever played Guilty Gear/ BlazBlue with a handful of people, so I'm interested to see how I do against the rllmuk brigade. Lobbies are going to be a lot of fun  As dogsout said, this is a game that rewards offensive play, and we've had some epic bouts in the relatively short time that we've been playing. I fucking love this game, and I'll take it over Street Fighter every time.

Very excite!

Yeah it can be very fast-paced. It can't even really be compared to Street Fighter. It feels completely different, but there are a lot of options available for getting inside. The vast majority of characters will sprint instead of dashing in, there are double jumps, super jumps, air dashes. The game just feels sexy.

Saying that, when I play dogsout, we both use the two slowest cunts in the game, so it's more like a game of chess.
