Is Chaos Rings any good? It's a bit too pricey to take a punt.

I'm after a JRPG that's all battle with minimal adventuring (ie no exploring).

Chaos Rings seems to fit the bill unless anyone can point me in the direction of something else.

It's pretty much exactly that, very streamlined and basically plot and battle grinding. Very Squaresoft too. All 3 are worth playing if you like that sort of thing although FWIW I like the conversion of FF3 best if you've not played the DS version and despite being based on an ancient game it's not too heavy on the exploration.

There's Wolfenstein RPG and Doom II RPG, those are in the same sort of vein.

Who else is playing New Star Soccer? One of the few iPhone games that I upgraded to right away. The career mode is fantastic. It's like a cross between reading a live-scores blog snd a turn based football game.

I've not really had a chance to look thoroughly through that thread, but the trailer makes it look like there is a Sensible Soccer 'arcade' mode? Is that just for trailer purposes or does the PC/Mac version have a greater series of modes than the ioS?

Feed Me Oil is 5th in the free apps charts on the App Store at the minute, I haven't played it yet but it has to be worth a punt at £0.00 as I think it has been a paid app previously.

I played Feed Me Oil but the liquid annoyed me almost instantly. Sometimes you can play a level and fail, then just press play again and win as the liquid falls slightly differently. It's all luck.

There's not much they could have done differently, to be fair, I just don't really think it works. Still, can't hurt to try it at free and see what you think.
