The iOS gaming thread

Nice. Just bought Infinity Blade. Thinking about a few others.

I use this website which's name escapes me at the mo. They sell £15 iTunes vouchers for £11.50 and provide instant codes. I've used them twice now and it works out to about another 25%. If anyone's bothered I'll get it from my bookmarks and link it here.

Everyone should have a go on Magnetic Shaving Derby for nowt.

Why aren't people all over this? It's amazing! Like, just amazing! And free.

And the secret Space Surfing mini game is even better.

Yeah I know they aren't ios games but a lot of people that have ios devices also have macs so they might be interested

Fair enough, but you didn't say it was mac or even where they are from, hence my confusion. Is it App Store then? I fancy another run through SA

Aye my bad it's on the mac app store. I've actually got it running in 1080p using my dual shock 3 and it's just as good as it ever was, if not more so

Was it Swainy off here that was involved in a Target Renegade remake on the PC? Is this related?

Just to say that I've just played this and to be honest I found it enjoyable despite the wooden look of the graphics and the boring sound track (the real TR had great music).

I have emailed the author asking him if he wants to use my touched up graphics from the original, I doubt if he will but you never know I guess.

Looked good in the video but I can't actually play games where your fingers block the action.

Forget Me Not is down to 69p. Sort of psychedelic pac-man roguelike with a wall-grinding mechanic.

Would love to see this on the big screen (360/PS3), and they could make it a bit more intense as using a pad would make it easier.

Aw, cheers for the heads up on this- it wasn't iOS related, but downloaded San Andreas onto my Mac, and the 360 controller doesn't work too well with it, but set up the free app Joypad Connect which is brilliant- now zooming round San Andreas using the iPhone as a controller, which actually works really well once you've configured everything.

Can anyone recommend any top down racers, micromachines/super sprint types?

Cheers,

Indy

Unfortunately the cars just stick to the track, it hasn't got the drifting that I look for in these sorts of games, but it might be worth a look.

They all manage to do so much right but don't appreciate the nuances of the controls, i find that you either get stuck-to-the-track or permanent-slide which I hate. You need it to be grippy up to a point and then it breaks into a slide, which seemingly no one has done yet.

Has anyone tried Mini Motor Racing yet? It's currently free for both iPhone and iPad versions. I've only played a couple of races but it's certainly very drifty.
