The iOS gaming thread

There's a pretty spectacular Wipeout clone called AG Drive - it's worth £2.99 of anybody's money in my opinion. It's 60fps on my iPad air 2 - looks and handles lovely too.... Plus it's seriously fast. Apparently it uses this Apples Metal to look so lovely.https://appsto.re/gb/AfkdV.i

The speedo in the middle of the screen is a beyond terrible design decision, though.

Are any of the picross games on the App Store a patch on the DS versions?

I highly recommend

Paint it Back - Awesome game, Brilliant implementation for IOS, well balanced puzzles. Not enough puzzles to last forever. (Although I played it alot)

Falcross - Almost as good as Paint it back, but not as well implemented, absolutely boat loads of puzzles (including daily downloadable ones) - Puzzle quality isn't as high,

All the others are a bit naff...

There are a bunch of different puzzle games under the "Conceptis" tag, all of which are free and one of which is Picross. Slitherlink, Nurikabe, Bridges also, among others. Loads of free content across them all and you can buy extra puzzles if you run out, plus there are free weekly puzzles. If you download them all you'll probably never need another puzzle game on your phone again, even if you don't pay anything.
