I think its still better to wait before you cast your UAV if your team already has one, but at least it isnt virtually wasted in MW2 when more than one is up.

Probably, but those multi UAVs are pretty handy for knowing exactly where your enemy are. I only realised recently you can see your enemies UAV sweep on your map screen - it's pretty subtle, pretty sure you could in COD4 too but it was much more obvious.

I usually exclusively play free for all. Do you get more points for playing team deathmatch etc?

You get lots for playing headquarters as you get bonus points when you or your team mates grab the HQ.

Plus it pays to work through all the game types so that you get the challenge xp for beating them.

Was Cod4 ever this attacked my glitchers and the like?

I seem to remember a few glitches and hacks that got out, but not on this scale. I certainly don't remember people prestiging like this.

Look at this shit

That's messed up.

It's on the PS3. All the big glitches seem to be PS3-only (the lobby glitch is harmless), so I'm not too bothered. I blame PSN.

Playing dead:

That playing dead trick is brilliant. I'm guessing he has cold blooded pro, otherwise it wouldn't really work.

Ha! Of course - I'm going to make it my mission to save up for Cold Blooded Pro now. What a great trick.

EDIT: not got sound - is he quickly swapping weapons to appear more 'dead'?

The playing dead video is very cool- wonder how well it would work in first person though- I always tend to shoot suspicious looking dead bodies in certain points with a silenced weapon because they come up in your vision pretty easily, but in 3rd person I could see you missing it

You think?

I feel like I've shot up to my current level (47 on 1st Prestige) a lot faster than I did last time, but that could be down to me knowing the game more now.

At the end it feels longer, 69-70 was 79k XP for me this time, I'll remember and double check but I really don't remember it being that slow.

I thought everyone knew about the Afghan matresses.

CoD4 was full of glitches but most people never bothered with them, which was strange since they were significantly easier to do than any of the ones in this game. IW never patched any of them either, the only one they patched was the PS3 godmode glitch, which used exactly the same exploit that they're using now. It's all to do with save games, that's as far as my interest carried me.

Concerningly, that video above clearly shows 360 controls at certain points, and I honestly can't imagine how they've achieved that. The website advertised at the start is also the one responsible for the 'smart' modded controllers that get around IWs protections because they're too pig headed to just hard code a fire rate into the single fire weapons. Modded controllers are alive and well, and although it's quite hard to identify them now due to the stutter feature they have I'm pretty sure I've only seen two or three, which is still a good improvement I suppose.

On a more positive note, that playing dead video is amazing, I love seeing S&D ninja defuses.

You could do that in CoD4 too, it was never really very useful in practice but a nice 'trick' to play from time to time.

I imagine Cold Blooded Pro makes it more effecive. I often find myself caught behind enemy lines whilst playing stealthily, so it's a good way of hiding in plain sight until you get a chance to strike.

I especially like the clips where he gets chased round a corner, lies down, and the guy comes round and runs straight over him.

What's he doing in that video to make his body look twisted? Is he holding a grenade or something?

If you watch the video back he's quickly swapping between his sniper and pistol over and over.

It's pretty cool. Reminds me to use throwing knives more!

I'm so shit with throwing knifes (Zero kills, lots of attempts). Half the time I forget I have them and launch them like grenades, watching them flutter off into the sky.

When I do use them they go no where, often hitting scenery next to my target. I'd love to get good with them though, they look like they'd make for some really enjoyable killing.

What's with all the people running round with dual shotguns!

It's only gonna get worse, y'know. Most people who use them are the same kind of people who prestige, whoch means they only get a few levels with them. Once everyone finishes prestiging I've a feeling a stupid number of people will use them. They need nerfing.

I could dig through the thread but I'm lazy - can someone link me to one of that guys videos on YouTube. Y'know, the guy who pwns something serious and then uploads in HD. I want to go through some more of them.

These badly need nerfing. They've been a minor annoyance until now - but last night I was playing a lvl 67 guy who was good with them, and he just slaughtered everyone. Watching the killcams was so frustrating - the range and lack of precise aiming required is a joke - even with only one shotgun they can kill at medium range. Yes - it requires skill to use them really well but it spoils the game for those who don't want to play like that, the skill difference in comparison to most other load-outs is pretty shameful.

I tried out akimbo Vectors last night as my main class - and that's a different kettle of fish - you need to get really close, you have to reload after a burst, and you simply can't kill people in one hit unless you're really lucky. It's quite fun and you feel like you've earned the kills unlike akimbo Rangers.

A good akimbo Rangers counter is auto shotty on tight levels, claymores and general awareness of where the gits are. Catch them at long range and they're screwed (if you can hit them before they sprint into cover).

Hope Infinity Ward nerfs these a bit soon - less auto-aim and less damage at range should do the trick, maybe a slightly longer reload too.

I find they work well with stun grenades, although you may as well just use your gun... which is why I only use this stun/knife combo when i'm using riot shield. Works a reeeeeeeeeeal treat!
