The instant prestige glitch is working on the 360 too, it just hasn't been released. Check the leaderboards.

The lack of beta testing fucked more things than this to be honest, they'd never have caught this.

Here's a good one for you; the OLD modded pads that fired at the maximum speed the game allowed (pretty much emptying a clip instantly) got patched out within a few weeks on CoD4. They work again on MW2.

What's the best post-match accolade you can get? I had the one for a kill-death ratio of over 10:1 a couple of other times at the weekend. MVP (most kills, least deaths) is probably better than that, though. I've only had that once.

IW decided not to open beta this in order to provide the biggest release impact.

I wonder if that idea is biting them in the arse now.

My biggest issue with this is how the glitches allow people to speed up through the prestige's, I know that it does little in the long run to aid a players actual skill. But in Cod4 I played as well as I could and tried to work my way up through the prestiges, giving my respect to all those that were higher prestige than myself.

Now though, it's just not possible for me to do that. I'm seeing tons and tons of prestige 10's playing, who I know have only reached that point through xp glitches. It lessens my respect and sadly, for those that have worked genuinely hard to work up the ranks, they're not getting the respectful nods they deserve.

Sure, those people are more probably unskilled and can be easily killed, but there's no real joy in killing someone that's cheated to the top, and sadly as a side effect, killing someone that has worked their way to the top goes unnoticed.

I'd honestly be happy if IW fixed the glitches and reset the servers, letting everyone start again. I've just prestiged for the first time and it took me 3 days and 11 hours to do, which is quite a long time, but a lot of my game time was spent messing about and getting used to the new set up, rather than focusing on levelling.

I'm not arsed about Emblems, Titles, kudos from other players and the like (I see it as a mark of shame more than anything!), but is there any practical value to doing so?

The solution for stopping modded pads and this autofire shite seems so simple that there must be another reason why they don't do it. Maybe a fixed rate-of-fire would have problems around latency issues or something.

The prestige hack is out on the 360 too now? Hmm.. doesn't really bother me, if the only advantage is extra class slots then it's not an issue. Rank is just an indication of how much spare time you've got to play, not how good you are - I should know, my level 53 counts for fuck all. I spend most of my time in game running about like an idiot, getting lost or snagged on scenery and generally being inept. I think my ineptitude is not helped by playing on level 10 sensitivty like WingsOfRedemption in the hope I might become as good as he is but that's not the root of it.

What I can't understand about the Wingsofredemption videos is:

he is on capture the flag type games, but does not capture any - he instead racks up his kills without focussing on the objective. Even I could do this

he seems to always be in games of 10 vs 3

He just argues he keeps flags safe and the other team suppressed, especially when he has air support out. He is a very very good player, but he isnt some uber player we have no chance of ever getting as good at. I just stumbled on one of his videos when looking for Danger Close builds and I found him so entertaining that I decided to link him in this thread. (he does have a ton more charisma than the average videogame uploader who tends to be as dull as fuck or ruins his video with Korn or Slipknot songs)

He has improved parts of my game though. I dont have the best aim, I dont have the fastest reactions or the best eyesight. Ill never be the guy who runs around quickscoping or pulling off headshot after headshot from half the map away, but I was so unaware of a lot of things that are probably considered the basics that I was getting the shit kicked out of me on a regular basis. I still have a negative K/D, but it is creeping back towards positive with every passing day. I hope I get into positive before I get bored with the game. I still have some 650 kills to make up though.

He's a good player no doubt, like lots of good players he uses the UAV and reads the rhythm of the enemy well. Sneaky perks aside - It's astounding how many people still don't use it. I don't go undercover (besides silenced wep's) at all and get up close n personal all the time, even on loose maps.

Very old. It's a side effect of the Q3 engine, essentially you get inside a texture and travel to the top of the object, be it an invisible wall or otherwise, there were loads in CoD4/WaW but they're pretty hard to do and mostly useless in real games. PC players use binds to move one 'unit' left/right to achieve them, so the limitations of the 360 controller makes them an utter cunt to do. I could get it first time or spend an entire game trying and failing.

WoRs playstyle works well, he'll get a lot of attacker killed/defender killed points and so on so he's performing an essential task, it's when you don't have people willing to capture that a game gets fucked. Got 54:2 on Terminal earlier on Domination and had by far the highest points despite only capturing one point simply because of the number of attackers I killed and the defender kills I got from firing rockets into A from the roof of the gas canister hut.

Actually, now that I think about it, I generally find the best way to actually WIN a pubbie domination is just to watch one or, if possible, two points and let the rest of the team concentrate on capturing and/or defending the last one. Pubbies.

Actually, now that I think about it, I generally find the best way to actually WIN a pubbie domination is just to watch one or, if possible, two points and let the rest of the team concentrate on capturing and/or defending the last one. Pubbies.

You... do realise that's exactly how you're supposed to play Domination right? The only time you should ever try and Dominate is when you're losing by too much of a margin to manage the win with two flags. It's largely ABOUT camping. It's about defending bases. That guy on that Youtube video a few pages back is an actual idiot.

It shows the amount of XP you have, and how much you need before you level up.

The bar across the bottom is a representation of your progress to the next level. As you earn xp the bar will fill until you get a promotion at which point it will empty and the process will repeat.

I've just gone into negative k:d

I was about 300 in front, now to about 25 behind, the last few days of playing for me have turned to shit and I've been dying constantly. Now I've prestiged though I can start to concentrate on simple playing rather than messing about with tons of different builds, so hopefully I'll pull that back.

I've never managed to get my wins higher than my looses though. I got it down to 15 behind, but now it's something stupid like 80 behind.

I hate it too. There seems to be many more people trying out glitches, and a bigger glitch learning 'culture' among regular 360 players, for this game. Maybe neom knows otherwise, as I didn't pay much attention in CoD4 - just saw a bit of hiding in a few rocks and auto-fire. But it feels much more impactful when like 1-in-2 lobbies are glitched...
