Iron sights are alright for some rifles, like the SCAR, but I can't use them as well as a red dot for guns like the M4. The EMP only gets rid of the dot in the middle so it's still easy enough to shoot accurately, just get the target in the center and it's hard to miss.

I bling up practically all my classes anyway so I don't worry about it too much, only when I want extended mags/FMJ or a silencer.

I've been toying a bit more with my stealth class and i've now got a really nice setup:

Silenced P90

Stinger

Scavenger Pro

Cold Blooded Pro

Ninja Pro

Flashes and Claymores.

Final Stand

Considering swapping in the acr when i unlock the silencer but i'm not sure, the p90 has the rof to back it up when muzzled, can't help but think the ACR will lose some bite with the silencer.

I love the matches where the battle lines have been drawn and you can just sneak round the back and take them unawares usually garnering a whole mess of kills.

Properly falling in love with sleight of hand as well, i'd consider maybe swapping out scavenger for it, but this class is also my anti-air class and it helps with the claymores.

Anyone else having success with a schneakybuggers class?

I read somewhere in an interview with one of the guys over at IW that the CoD4 maps simply do not work in MW2. When playtesting they added Crash as a controlgroup sort o' speak and by going on the feedback from that they decided not to include any of the old maps.

I feel incredibly satisfied with a game of Capture the Flag I just played, so I thought I'd boast a bit.

I just got a killstreak of 33. :o

It was on rundown, using the standard Predator, Harrier, Chopper Gunner set up. I was trying to earn the Danger Close Pro perk, so I was pretty damn noobtube happy. Here was my setup (shamefully stolen from an idea that Uzi had):

SCAR-H with Grenade Launcher

One Man Army Pro

Danger Close

Ninja Pro (choose whatever you like, really)

Claymore

Flash Grenade

I just spammed OMA refilling my tubes whenever I got a chance, made sure there was a claymore protecting me and just blasted the hell out of everything! Ace fun. :(

I'm sure the opposing team thought I was an utter prick, but it was really satisfying just blasting people whenever they dared come near our flag.

Have you tried doing the same thing with scavenger? The kills with the claymores guarding your position are normally frequent enough to keep you in ammo.

I live in a flight path in East London. Every time I hear the hum of a plane over head, there's a flicker of activation in one of my synapses that makes me want to mentally press the Y button and start scanning the skies.

I was trying to explain this very thing to my girlfriend the other day - I live under one of Heathrows flight paths, albeit some distance from Heathrow so 747s are almost identical in scale to an AC130 or UAV in MW2. Every time I look up and see a plane I hear "enemy AC130 inbound" which is slightly disturbing. Must stop playing so much of this game.

This reminds me of when I saw white paint all over the pavement and felt on edge due to too much halo play.

I play exclusively M/TDM, but yesterday we had too many in the party so had one game of ground war. It was domination and I went 39-3 with all three deaths coming when I ran out of ammo and charged the flag with my shotgun. Anyway, my point is, it's all too easy to get a good K/D ratio in objective games if you're not actively pursuing the objective, which makes me lose a little respect for Wings of redemption's ratio. I'm pretty glad my ratio is based on people trying to kill me 100% of the time rather than being distracted with other things.

Yeah, scavenger is on my usual set up, but with OMA you can resupply without even having to leave the safety of your camping hole if no-one's getting claymore killed and you need more tubes. You can be pretty trigger happy too and not worry about wasting them! Also, I can switch between that and my other OMA class with no hassle.

The mighty WingsofRedemption is having a bad day. He's gonna end up with milk on his lip and punching his wall if he's not careful.

Curiously enough, I was in what sounds like the exact same PSN match as him on Afghan. I wonder if I was on his team? Choppers were in the sky and snipers were waiting as soon as I stepped out in the open. Before that moment in the game I was about 9-4 and then got properly destroyed. No one on the team could (or could be bothered) to take down anything. However, after getting fucked off with the hopeless predicament I did end up profiting from some mindless ripping toward the end and came out the other end 14-16.

My last session was also the worst ever for grenade launchers. It's like those former Christmas Kids have decided that enough is enough.

In truth, I now quite enjoy going up against a badass clan with a team of randoms just for the occasions when I get to piss on their party.

I also had a very similar experience while playing using my surround headphones last night. I swapped to my anti-air class to take out a helicopter, only I couldn't see it. It turned out to be a Chinook heading up the Thames.

Tell me about it...every time I hear a dull 'click' at the moment I think 'claymore!'

I'm half glad my 360 is being re-tooled in Germany at the mo'.

That's almost what I mean. My response was to Fazz's belief that people rocking the sensor will be unobservant...it's a classic mistake to make. This is why I think that as a 'perk', not appearing on the HBS screen is of limited value. As I said earlier, the Ninja Pro perk is more valuable, but not enough to make it worth using for me.

EDIT: I must admit I get a particular chuckle after hosing down someone using Ninja/Pro, as I imagine them seeing my HBS on the kill-cam and wailing in frustration...but I imagine Ninja users get much the same feeling when they tag a sensor user!

Only just seen this - when I run ninja I hardly ever, ever die to heartbeat sensor. Goodness knows how many times it's saved my life and got me kills. As soon as I switch to steady aim every 4th or 5th death seems to be to an HBS.
