Hegg 2 - 1 Cales

Moodmon 0 - 3 Hegg

Bloody hell that was tense Cales. I really lack experience playing against Rose. Remind me what happened in that 3rd match, first round? It was a bit of a panicky blur from where I was sitting. I whiffed quite a few target combos, looked like a right tit.

Did the same against Moodman as well, missed a couple of sitters. Some really great fights, love Abel.

Sorry I'm not hanging around, I have to eat then go to work. Good games to all. With massive apologise to Cale, I have no idea what the hell happened after that first match. Apart from the fact I got beat, obviously. On my end it said host has disconnected from session. I waited a bit for reinvite, tried to send you a message then as soon as I tried to send I got a "Disconnected from Live" message, so I'm sorry about that.

Connection probably died over that ultra hitting you in the last round of match 1. Definitely the closest set of matches I've had so far. Hegg just destroyed me, as he's done to everyone so far. Just couldn't find a decent enough run to get a match, though I won a few rounds.

Moodmon: lovely stuff earlier. So tight that last match! All I could do was run away and try and keep my distance. Abel's a bugger. Must remember to block high on the second part of that three punch throw thingy. No probs on the weird connection. Had no idea what happened either!

Hegg: quality stuff, man. As far as I can remember on the first round of the third match, you whiffed a dragon with hardly any energy and I missed my throw. Any bloody touch would've given me the round. There was a big 'noooooooo' echoing round my living room, let me tell you. :lol:

Good games afterwards too. I love playing as Dan, it's nice to be able to inject a bit of humour to games like this without it being a suicidal move. We'll have some more matches in the future. -_-

Great stuff, guys. I love this league.

Oh man, I'm wrecked after work and then mate's house shenanigans. Didn't actually say well played to Hegg and Cale, bad form. So well played. I tell you something, I was getting the rage with your Rose.

Not realising that if Abel gets close to someone without many wake up options they get fucked, so you need to keep away >_< I'm such a bad loser at this game it isn't even funny. For the record, I think if the first CoD hits and you just use high hits for the rest you can't block them, you have to take it like a target combo. Different if you want CoD -> High -> Low, as there is a recovery-tastic gap if you use a low hit. Hence why I never ever use low if I can help it, as it's a complete waste of time. If the first hit gets blocked anyway you can punish regardless, so the mix up is rendered useless because you eat something before the second hit.

Well, that's my game plan in the open anyway :unsure: Just need to remember to keep teching your sodding throws [rages again]

If you are on sometime tomorrow Hegg I'll do some Abel Vs Abel. Simply had no time at all yesterday after playing Cale.

Finally, but most importantly, fuck you strawd0nklast.

Aww too bad. Sorry I couldn't play yesterday or the day before- my friend took my stick to change the gate so I had to wait until today.

I'm happy to play any of my games tomorrow from 4pm onwards

Fucking hell :( After Dogsout, Heggs playstyle is the toughest I've come across to try and match with my own shitty current style. Well done. I will say I'm normally a bit better and not so panicky but I changed gate on my stick the other day and I'm still adjusting :P

I really enjoyed the post-league games Uzi, much fun. Your use of focus attacks as I jumped in worked really well, timing was great - you caught me so many times. All that was lacking was a cheeky dash towards when it hit, once you get that in you'll be laughing.

One other little tip, I personally wouldn't use the focus attack to cancel fireballs, asking for trouble. There was one occasion where you absorbed two or three and then I got the smallest hit in and bosh, loads of health gone. All a bit too risky.

Mega Drive II - 1 Vs. Uzi - 2

A well deserved win for Uzi, I was making a lot of stupid mistakes all the way through the first two matches and I wasn't nearly aggressive enough. Then after two consecutive defeats I just went all or nothing and got the win. The same thing happened in my matchups with Sithlord and Matt Lav, so you think I would have learnt my lesson by now. :P

I think I'll probably drop El Fuerte at the end of this season. I have a lot of fun using him in casual games but I'm not good enough to get the most out of him in competitive matches. Wish I'd picked Abel up earlier/picked him for the tourny, because I feel more confident with him than I do with Fuerte already, and I've only been using him a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the tips- and being too kind! Only a few of my focus attacks were effective and normally I dash in and attack or unleash my ultra but my execution was sucking hard today. Made loads of mistakes but had a great time. Look forward to fighting you again and hopefuly provide more of a challengeil

Summary Note: I just thought I'd give a special mention to Hyper, I really liked his playstyle in our matches. The result really doesn't give him justice, one of the matches he could have even won after a successful FA (damn Sakura's range lol), but the EX Spinkick came out instead of the Ultra I'm guessing. Nevertheless, Hyper really caught me off guard: anti-airing me, being unpredictable, footsie playing etc. My best match yet.

Aggressive Guile is aggressive! Guile is supposed to crouch low the whole match, not advance on me the whole time! ;)

I tried to throw in some overheads (Flower Kick) to try and twitch you out of crouching but some came out as jumping medium kicks....grr! And as for that fluffed Ultra, yeah I dunno what happened there! :) I though you'd connected with my Focus Attack or something so it took me off guard.

Hmm, after another battering Sithlordx came straight on. I wasn't at my best there I think, not like above (maybe I was a bit down), but Sithlordx had me beat anyways. Plays a pretty static Ryu and doesn't give much away. Plenty of great cross-ups later and I'm down -_- . Can't handle those, or do them myself yet. Sorry for the lack of mic there.

EDIT: Oh, and the way you'd just walk up and throw me, easy as pie. I couldn't help but laugh at those.

Christ, five losses now, I'm in the wrong division...

I do need to fight Xei though. XXXXEEEEEEEIIIIIIIII [/khanface] Might be tricky tonight as I have badminton then scousers/cocknies to laugh at depending on the football. Maybe I could sneak on during half time or just after. Or Wednesday. Which is also good.
