Forza Motorsport 3

Has anyone received any car discounts - like in Forza 2, where you received 50% discount on European cars etc.

I'm holding off buying any cars until I find out! I'm pleased to see that there aren't achievements for buying ALL cars.

I'm sure there are none, certainly at level 29 I haven't seen any and have only had to buy one car thus far.

I've been racing R3 today for the first time, probably the most fun I've had in the single player so far. So much concentration required with the Porsches as one little mishap inevitably leads to an off-road excursion, usually at some speed into a wall, but when you get a feel for it it's amazing stuff.

I've mainly played just the single player of this so far but it really is fantastic.I've even starting using manual gears for the first time in a driving game and it becomes second nature quicker than you'd think. With manual gears and no assists it feels like it's got the perfect balance between fun and simulation.Just when I was starting to think the cars were maybe too easy to drive I tried to drive a TVR around Amalfi Coast :coffee:

Seriously considering getting a wheel for this now even though it's still brilliant with a pad.I'll have to get involved in the multiplayer now I'm semi competent

I took this back to trade it in today as I had a wretched and unenjoyable racing experience on this last night with some mates and was not feeling the love. Game wouldnt take it as I'd left out the USB stick. Glad they didnt as I really need to find the love that so many of you have for it on here and the plaudits handed out in reviews etc. I'm struggling to feel the road through the car and finding it bland. I'm not getting the feel when i know the car is at it's limit in regard to braking and turning. I know Dave White etc was loving the Shift driving experience and have migrated to F3 so I've got to try and forget that incar feel and appreciate Forza's strenghths. I loved Forza 2 so am struggling to find why I'm not getting the joy out of F3. I hate it when I don't 'get' a game.

Sorry man, that sounds like it sucks. Don't honestly know why you're not getting along with it. I played it online the last few nights with friends, with C, B and A class cars with full damage simulation no racelines and trying to drive like a gentleman being the core rules and I've honestly had the best online racing I've ever had. Had so so much fun.

fella, it all seems a bit sterile at 1st after shifts insane speed and sound. 2 days ago I would have defended that until the end, however once you have your first powersilde which you hold on the limit around a corner at full speed. Life gets much sweeter. And you start to realise this is actually one of the greatest games ever made. The tactile feel of the cars at speed is just fantastic.

I kid you not the last 2 days racing have given me some of the most incredible gaming moments in 23 years of playing. Bumper to Bumper all the way!

Join us tomorrow evening for our 80's car tributes.
