Jesus fucking christ. The multiplayer with random people really is fucked isn't it... I've been waiting in a lobby for 15mins now, not one person has joined.

Why can't it put me into the lobby of a race in progress? I find it very hard to believe that every lobby on the planet is full, thus having to create a new one with me as the host.

At least it isn't just me then! I've not had any luck joining random A class races. The numbers if people online in each gategory seems very low also. Hopefully it's teething problems.

Yeah, mentioned this a few pages back, less than 1,000 people online most days. :coffee:

I'm having some weird steering wheel bug right now. Sometimes you can't shift UP in a Season race mainly with the Shelby Cobra. I find it hard to believe my wheel's fucked, because it works just fine with other racing games. Anyone else having this bug?

I noticed the shadows on CPU cars going mental when i was playing last night. Seems to be particularly bad on oval type tracks. Anyone else getting this? And i'm still getting the unacceptable lagging on xbox live notifications and wonder if both of these are due to my 360 being on its last legs.

Yes. And also, sometimes it applies opposite force-feedback until you pass through the central axis. Only on FM3 though! :coffee:

Nah, FM2 has it as well. It's far more rare here, I've found.

Just posted this in the bug list thread on the forza forums:

I'm having some weird steering wheel bug with the official MS wheel right now. Sometimes I can't shift UP at all, then after a while it works again, only for the bug to reappear shortly afterwards. And other buttons (X, back) sometimes refuse action after being pressed as well.

I've tried different things to find a workaround, such as booting the 360 or the game with the pad, but to no avail.

I find it hard to believe my wheel's fucked, because it works just fine with other racing games. Anyone else having this bug?

Yeah - sometimes you get some minor flicker. Dunno if its your box though.

I only noticed it last night but it was more than a flicker they were being stretched all over the shop (full width of track, way behind the car) and sometimes disappearing altogether for a couple of seconds.

And mine becomes unplayable when a notification pops up, i have to hit the guide/pause button until it's gone.

Not getting the steering wheel bug though (default settings), thank God!

Some questions about the storefront - If you buy other players' decals and incorporate them in your design, can you upload that design to the storefront? And if you buy someone else's design can you apply decals over it? And can you change the base colour of the car?

If the decals are locked then you can't upload a design to the storefront with them on. I cheated a design by using someone else's decal and I can't put the finished car up with it on...

I'm getting the flickery shadow thing as well. They are all over the place at times. A lot of the time when finishing a race - particularly the point to point ones - cars are crossing the finishing line with no shadow making them look like they are floating above the track. Surprised they couldn't fix this to be honest.

I get shadows suddenly appearing, but worse is sometimes the engine note remains constant for a couple of seconds, especially confusing when you change gear during that time! Maybe I'm about to get red-zinged, but the graphics don't freeze, just the sound.

The difference between medium and hard opponents seems massive to me, I can blitz medium in the first couple of corners but on hard there's normally one car that gets away so quick from the start that I struggle to get past before the end of the race, although I'm reaching the stage where races are 5 laps which is giving me enough time to do it. (I'm trying to use cars that have the same PI as the opponents).

That is what is winding me up more than anything to be honest. Why the hell there isn't qualifying in this version I'll never know. It is frustrating playing on hard and have the back markers just bump into me when I'm trying to catch the only fast guy in the race who is upfront. On the narrower tracks it becomes bumper cars whether you like it or not.

I've seen some AI oops but also some other cool stuff. Not quite GRID-style stuff but cool nonetheless. I uploaded a replay of a cheeky Ferrari driver getting, well, what seemed increasingly impatient sitting behind an Exige. A couple of times he'd floor it only for the Exige to block the overtake. I was just sat behind them waiting for the opportunity to get around them both. It was fun to watch!

I've booked the entire day off tomorrow so I'm going to hammer this all day! :coffee:

edit: Someone mention about the laps/race being marked as unclean? Did anyone figure out why? I've had a couple of perfect races only to be marked down the final straight or something else equally random?

Do the AI cars ever crash? Been playing in single player all weekend and not seen a single accident. And are there any night/snow/rain/rally stages, or is it all track based?

They don't crash

Its all sunshine I'm afraid, what you have already experienced is what you get.
