I always race with the music off, I find it too distracting. Yet I can't drive without music in real life. Probably because putting in good times on a racing game is far more important than worrying about the lives of those around me in the real world. After all, decent racing games are few and far between, but there's an almost endless supply of people.

ARGH!!!!! I'm not a brilliant racer, but why do people who can't play the game properly, or drive properly for that matter, insist on racing online against randoms?

Just done a 3 lap R3 race on Silverstone in my Koenigsegg, which admittedly is a bit of a handful when exiting corners, but every single "incident" I was involved in happened on the entrance to a corner or on straights for fucks sake.

Incident #1: Cleanly passed some guy in a Ferrari on the left entering into Stowe, I started to break, he was to my right but a fair bit behind me. Didn't bother braking and snaked to the right clattering the arse of my car and taking me off the circuit.

Incident #2: This involved two other cars, Ferrari guy was overtaking a dude in a Porsche on the straight before Maggots (they'd literally just come out of Copse), it was taking him a while, I'd caught up and easily had the pace to fly past both. Porsche guy either tried to block off Ferrari guy or switch his line (without thinking obviously) to the left of the circuit ready for Maggots, slamming into the side of me and taking out Ferrari guy.

Again, I'm not the best driver ever, far from it. I generally finish mid table on a full grid on a good day (although I've not played online in a long long time), but both those incidents were completely amateur and really fucked me off. I'm just glad that whoever set up the lobby had only put the damage as cosmetic.

Luckily managed to break away from the pair of them when the lobby changed to Suzuka ( :D ), finishing fifth behind four F-XX's

yeah dont' get me started. Meerman's spidersense is tingling as we speak (DONT PLAY WITH RANDOMS GODVERDOMME or something).

I've had people in tag teams deliberately driving the wrong way round the track, hiding in shadows under bridges to ram people off in the A Class Expert playlist. The amount of people who snake about in the braking zone etc...

All serious racers need some sort of AI race stewards. Unlike Blur for example where if you get spun out early on by some prick ramming you at the first corner, you have items to get back in the race etc, if you have an incident in a race in Forza, that session is a write off whether it was your fault or not.

As I said, I wouldn't even class myself as a really good driver, I also like a bit of Touring Cars argy bargy, but those two incidents really pissed me off.

I really do need to get involved in some races on here really, its just finding the opportunity to jump in though, I love having rivalries in racing games.

If he didn't apologise for the first one thats we call in forza terms "a dick." Second "crash" confirms it.

I've been trying to revive regular forum games recently but my last attempt managed only 3 of us and we abandoned play before a race was held.

I'll be trying again this monday though so join us in the Forza folder for some American racing.
