Looks lovely, I will be getting this day 1 as Gold/Silver is my favourite one. I might even get Pokemon Platinum to get me back into the games :)

Oh my. That's looking almost as pastel as I was hoping for.

Yeah, that looks lovely; really looking forward to this now.

Are there any differences between the two versions aside from the Pokemon available? I always tended towards Red from the original duo. I suspect that my strange mind will choose to get Silver and will not accept Gold whatsoever. Which one does everyone find themselves drawn to?

The only differences will really be a handful of Pokemon exclusive to one and whether you get Lugia or Ho-oh at 40 or 70.

Silver is definitely the way to go because Lugia is plain awesome.

I'm not sure why people would want a re-release of old Pokemon games.

I'd always assumed that each generation is basically the same, but slightly better because it has more Pokemon in it to collect. Why would you want to take a step backwards? What am I missing here?

The world in Gold and Silver was brilliant, and hasn't been bettered since. You'll still be able to use new pokemon by trading them in I'd imagine, so it won't really affect too much.

You're missing the vital fact that since the original 150, and to a certain extent the second 130ish which were added to gold/silver, the Pokemon have been complete shit and terribly designed. The games were far better when it was even remotely possible to keep track of most of the Pokemon you could catch.

There's the thing; Shigeru Miyamoto, Chaz, Jack Black, Bruce Dickinson, Casanova, veloS and God are all repressed homosexuals, and as such their opinions must be disregarded as nothing more than flamboyant fancies.

In a way I am slightly more drawn towards the faggot bird of rainbow fire, given that I always chose Charmander at the beginning of the Red quest, and therefore ended up hating anything blue and/or water-based by association, but I don't know ...

Maybe I will just choose the first one I see in the shops.
