Smitty
Feel like I need to write a Weapons/Enemy guide here. This is the unique flavour of Halo, Weapons have unique traits and specific combinations of the two weapon system is required to efficiently kill an enemy. There is not a single bullet sponge enemy in the Halo games, they usually only require a couple of bullets to kill. (with the exception of the Brutes in Halo 2..and maybe the Drones, they're just pure crap). The drones aren't bullet-sponges. They're exceptionally weak. shock33
First impressions are that I am not as blown away by the SP as I thought I would be. The motion/peripheral blue is annoying. First impressions are that I am not as blown away by the SP as I thought I would be. The motion/peripheral blue is annoying. Was coming in to post about that, I'm hoping I get used to it but the motion blue is REALLY annoying at the moment, what jars the most is when the image is stationary and really clear, then moves and looks really off putting. I'm also FAR too used to left trigger being iron sights!
TheSlugFormerlyKnownAsNap
Great. I was thinking of picking up Halo 3 from where I left off to get in the spirit, and it crashes every time it loads my savegame. Fun times.

Hexx
Up to mission 4. Not overly impressed to be honest (Heroic, Single). It's not bad, but it's nothing new/better than we've seen before. The story just isn't there. This isn't the "story of Reach". I have no idea what's happening to the wider planet. It's the disconnected, episodic story of 6 people I've never heard of. It doesn't help that, much like ODST, the story doesn't work if you've only played the games. There's coyly dropping things for your expanded audience, and then there's making it so you are regularly making parts of your audience go "Wah?". The combat doesn't feel like the measured tactical battles of Halo. It feels like the frantic, too big, too hectic battles of Halo 3 and ODST. Speaking off which - unkillable teamates are back. Has anyone else noticed oddities in the cutscnes? At some points the cutscenes go all "liney", making it look like your watching a CCTV footage, but only for a few seconds until the camara cuts to a different angle. but show sup normally.. Sometimes it's incredibly noticabely (e.g. the meeting after the sword base battle) sometime's it just there (e.g. when Kat is splicing things together at the end of the 1st mission)
Smitty
Watch the spoilers there bucko. I love how unaware some people are about spoilers. Oh and you're wrong about the story. There actually isn't anything about the expanded story In there, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Mr Cochese
My favourite bit in the campaign so far is the bit at the start of mission 3 where it crashes and drops out to the Xbox dashboard.
Smitty
I'd love to know what Hexx is going "wah" about. Passed me by. Same for ODST. I don't remember any part of that which required special knowledge.
Smitty
And Hexx it's the story of Reach by way of the experience of Noble Team. Instead of tonnes of text or long cutscenes you pick ot up through short cutscenes, what's going on around you, and lines of dialogue.
