I recall making it into the helicoptor on parish once, and waiting for the others to arrive. Unfortunately a tank followed me in and pummelled the living shit out of me, before doing the same to everyone else.

actual ;)

(sorry dear)

i know a fair few people who've had issues with it on 360, i sometimes see no joinable games at all. Live can be such an arse.

The only game I've had problems with over and over again, is L4D2. If I can find a game at all, my latency is always in the red.

I've got to say, the passing is a bit of a let down.

The maps are pretty cool but when the idea of the two groups of survivors meeting wasn't implemented very well at all. I mean you see one of them at the very start, then three of them at the very end. There's not all that much interaction between them and i was under the impression that you'll be fighting alongside them at some point. Instead you're doing your thing while they snipe from a tower. It just felt a little bit like a cop-out to be honest.

Thankfully though all the other shit is awesome. The sewer run is fantastic.

I suppose i was hoping for something a little different. When the idea of The Passing was being knocked about i thought that it could be a great opportunity to try something a little left of field from what they've done so far. Maybe something a little wacky or even a completely different location.

We've been in sewers before, we've seen everything that this DLC offers. I was hoping for a little bit more than just another level.

i think for me, its the manner in which it was done in the dlc here.

as riccardo says, that bit when you have knob all energy, limping almost blind forward with your team shouting around you.

BRILLIANT.

I know but you get that all the time with L4D. That's waht i love about the game and i'm certainly not complaining, i mean we had a lot of fun with this last night. But it just seems like they missed a trick a bit. The Passing should have been a huge event, not just an extra campaign.

I think it delivers, as I said before it really feels like good value for your points - it's a whole new campaign, not just a re-hash of what's gone before. They didn't just pick and choose bits from the previous campaigns and glue them together, it really works and stands on its own alongside the others. The new weapons, features, and the cameo from the original survivors are all extra touches. And don't forget the new versus modes.

As I said before, compare it with what 1200 points gets you on MW2 and Valve come out of this very, very favourably.

It's not a matter of value for money for me. If I had to go back I'd DL it again in a heart beat. It's just that the idea of The Passing is so fucking cool, yet it wasn't well implimented you know?

I agree with you that the original survivors could have been used better, particularly since that was the huge selling point of the DLC. Had there been no mention of them, I think we wouldn't be reading as many disappointed posts.

i do agree that the characters from L4D1 arent used maybe as well as they should or could have been, but overall i think it a decent slice of dlc.

is there more dlc due/coming?

The

Sewer run

is just about the best L4D set piece they've ever done. I don't get it when 'they' say the zombies in L4D aren't scary. I wake up screaming every night. But with an erection. An erection for killing zombies.

I liked the interaction with the other survivors too,

alright, so they're confined to a single building, but how else were they gonna do it? And the final showdown at the generator is awesome. *Louis takes out tank with 50. cal* Coach: LOOOOOUIS IN THA HOOOOOOOOUSE! Awesome. It's just a real shame that the dead survivor doesn't switch, they could've done different dialogue riffs depending on who the director had chosen to kill. I suppose that's a lot of extra VO work though.

Surely the whole point of Bill being dead is that they couldn't get his voice actor to do any more lines? So, unless they were prepared to just re-hash his L4D1 dialogue (like they did in Crash Course), he had to be killed off.

I wonder how they're planning to get around this for the next piece of L4D DLC...

I thought it was their way of effectively killing l4d because bill was everyone's favourite character. People should move on anyway.
