Just announced at Konami's E3 conference! No trailer yet due to the stream not being broadcast live, but should hopefully be up in a few hours. :o

Apparently being delevoped by a Spanish studio called MercurySteam, Hideo Kojima is involved in some kind of vague guidance role. No mention of Igarashi, but maybe it's time for a change. Shame he was always hamstrung with tight budgets and never got to really go all out.

Producer Dave Cox:

Forget what you know about Castlevania - this is what a next-gen Castlevania game should be

Which is about right because it's also meant to be an OPEN WORLD GAME WHAT!

Aw crap. The G4 guy said that the video footage would "be up either later tonight ot tomorrow. HD footage so will take a while to encode." For whatever reason, I was expecting it to be available pretty much straight away.

EDIT: woah, scratch that!

Looks like more like Bayonetta in the gameplay bits than God of War

Still looks like it has potential. Here's hoping it's just not all fight fight fight, exploration and platforming too pleaaaase

Yeah, think youre right. The tech is there to replicate it so why not have some beautifully hand-painted textures in that style. Vagrant Story is a shining example of what can be done with considered, gorgeous texturing.

Always wondered what a Final Fantasy game would look like if they stuck more closely to Yoshitaka Amanos concepts.

Shit yeah. That looks awesome, I just hope the gameplay can match the visuals. The last Castlevania game I played was Symphony of the Night and that's put me right in the mood for some more

I don't wanna sound like Sketch in the Metroid: Another M thread, but I'm really not sure about this. It's funny, because I've been saying IGA needs to step back and give someone else a crack of the whip (ho!) for ages, but this trailer doesn't inspire confidence in me at all.

I thought that looked great. I wonder when in 2010 it's due out. It reminded me God of War too. Could this this be as great as SOTN (which I have still to finish :( )

Looking good, not sure how I feel about yet another DMC/GoW style game, we seem to be getting a lot of them at the moment; Bayonetta, GoW 3, Nier, this.

Still more Castlevania is always a good thing

Also, you missed of Darksiders, NG Sigma 2, Dante's Inferno. To be honest, it's all about Bayonetta. This looks excellent though - but then I loved Lament of Innocence.
