Brad, scooot's just started the game too, I said I'd start a new character and do a co-op playthrough with him but you should give him a bell too if he's online when you're on. :eyebrows:

Winner, ta Jamin

Finally got around to getting this! Jesus Christ I'm poor... :D

Getting games later is better. You pay less. That's all I do now I don't bother with "new" releases.

Depends on the game... Single Player only types (Bioshock, Fallout, Just Cause etc) are fine. Multiplayer heavy titles really need to be got early, I feel.

Depends on the game. Could have got FIFA 4 months after release and etc :D

I don't play that many MP games though cos I'm too old/crap :o

Also depends on how much I will play.. over 700 online games of NHL make the cost per game rather cheap. So happy to pay full whack.

True. If you paid for that though :D

Me too, 81% downloaded through Steam. We managed to scrape four friends together so it was only £11.25 each!

Amazing value for money :o

18% Going to wake up early and play it before the Mrs comes round. :D

In fact fuck it, I'm going for a shower now and I'll clean the place up tonight; saving any wasted game time in the morning.

My profile if you want to add (Retroid).

This.

I've been doing this the past few years, I don't understand the need to pay full whack for a new single player game when there are at least 10 other games right now I'd like to get for single player campaigns at a fraction of the cost. Actually I do understand it if you're on a decent wage, but if you're a poor student a la me you have to be crafty with your money. Seems me and Disciple have the same idea. :D

The only games I've bought full whack in the past year: FIFA 10 (still got - solely used now for online play), Modern Warfare 2 (also for the multiplayer... also worth noting I quickly got bored of it and sold for £10 less than I paid on release day).

The rest of the games I buy by either scouring eBay for bargainous newly listed games, or doing direct trades in the trading bit of this website/other forum

As a result of such scrupulous activity I do have only 4 360 games in my possession... I must say I don't understand people who hoard games they know they'll never play again...

Yeah - I got this of Jamin recently and was worried about the game for the first 20 mins or so but have loved it since. Poured loads of hours in this weekend and actually stopped playing BC2 for now because of it.

It looks amazing and the sheer number of guns in it is incredible. Love it when an enemy drops a gun and the thrill of finding out exactly what this one will do. Still mostly on the first area trying to do all the bits and pieces before I move on.

Level 13 now, I levelled up twice (from 11) in one area where all the enemies were 13-15, didn't have a mission over there just exploring. I'm worried that it may be too easy, I mean the only difficulty I've really found so far is that some enemies are real damage sponges but against a sniper they're not too tough. Loved it when I first met a badass-skag and Alpha Skag, really was quite nice to find something that seemed special. Hope there's more to come.

Hmm just got into the latest DLC. Seems somewhat underwhelming tbh. Clocked the game at about level 37 and got the car at T-bone junction. Then died a lot/losing hundreds of grand. Grrr.

I'm waiting for some better weapons, I'm mostly using some old rifle and a revolver with x4 corrosive on it...

Not sure if it gets any better, seems a shame thus far. I could do with getting to the top level; and yet is it better to start on Playthrough 2 with my Character? The only thing is; will this mean that my Playthrough 1 save disappears / can I get straight back into the DLC from the off?

I had a worrying bit where all missions were a couple of levels below me and it all got a bit easy but it seems to have found it's level again now - I'm at Krom's Canyon and the spread of baddies is pretty fair.

I avoided turning in missions for a while as well which seemed to keep me from getting ridiculously over-leveled.

It's such a treat to play when the difficulty is right though.

Your PT1 and PT2 saves are independent. You can move between them as you please and it always saves where you are up to in each.

I'm at a point where I've so much money, that when I die it costs me about 40million each time!

The worst part of Borderlands is when you end PT1 and it just throws you straight into PT2 without even a reacharound :)

PT2 is harder but I'm finding it hard to care. I'm in New Haven and even with the ability to use unvisited savepoints (probably a bug) it's still a bit boring doing the same thing over just for levels. Even WoW doesn't make you do The Barrens twice (well - it's about to I suppose!!)

You really need the onlineage for PT2 - we should sort something out (I had a mare the last time I tried online but it's apparently less buggy now?)

p.s. I'm johnpeat on Steam and I have a 46 Zerker and Level 2/3 "just out of the tutorial" everything elses...

Does anyone here want to try and beat Clawmerax on the 360? This might be crazy but I'd like to give him at least a half assed go before I give up entirely.

Got a level 61 Siren and 61 Soldier and we just need two more people....

I've asked this before and had no response :(

But yeah, level 61 Hunter here!

At some point in the future I'd do this (and also perhaps form a team to try to play through those stupidly long Moxxi arenas), but I'm far too busy with work to have time at the moment. Which is why my main char - a Hunter - is still at level 50. I guess by the time I do have enough free time in the evenings to level up and play through the last DLC (which still sits on my hard drive virtually untouched), everyone will have already done both it and Moxxi, or got sick of waiting.

So that's a qualified yes, or, in practice, a "not at the moment, sorry".

I was quite annoyed by the latest dlc, all the enemies are around 5 levels lower than my lvl 43 siren, so i get pretty much 0 xp for killing them and all the quests are trivial. Makes it easy and boring, booo.

Went into Old Haven at lvl. 29 with about 15 missions not turned in to try to halt the relentless over-levelling and it was fantastic. The best part of the game for me by a mile, it had been a long time since I had cause to show the baddies any respect at all but plenty of touch and go moments there.

Unfortunately I had to then turn in missions to progress in the story, and having come to within an sliver of lvl 30 in Old Haven they pushed me up to 32 which is comfortably above any of the missions that are available. Shame.

Got another Orange Weapon today, a lot better than my first one which I sold too. Some kind of flamey beast sniper rifle.

Yeah I wasn't sure if you'd managed it or not so I didn't want to pry, we're probably going to scope him out tonight see if we can work out a strategy for him, you'd be more than welcome to join us my gamertag is valeskaleneux :)

Three's the magic number I guess, can't seem to find anyone else that's ready.

Gorf - I don't have Moxxi's yet but I love any excuse to come back to Borderlands, let me know if you'd like a hand with that DLC when you have time again.

Happy to help, only lvl 50 or something but already whipped the cunt! GT: GODZOOKI
