The Playstation Move

Be sure to get that Sports pack, that is all sorts of amazing. By far the best purchase :)

For one person I bought:

Motion Controller (part of the Starters pack)

Camera (part of Starters pack)

Demo disc (part of Starters pack)

Charger (plugs into the outlet (no USB connection on the loader) and charges both Motion and Navigational

Sports Pack (easy to use collection of Sports games. Archery, bowling, volleyball, table tennis and more)

None of the games available now require two Motion controllers but Archery and that Gladiator games - both on the Sports pack disc - support two Motion controllers. If you buy it for the family, perhaps you can choose to not buy the Navigational controller (it is handy for games like Resident Evil Move but as far as I know none of the Sports games support it) but rather spend that money on another Motion controller.

I was in Tesco with my wife last night and I just stood next to the display looking forlornly at the starter packs until she caved in and let me get one. "you can have it for Christmas" she said. I got it all out for "testing" when I got home and she said "it's not for Christmas, is it?" and I just giggled and carried on, like the spoilt 35 year old man-child that I am.

No games yet, just the demos but my daughter already loves Tumble and the table tennis was awesome so I might have to get Sports Champions too.

I'm going to pick up the basic controller later today. Is this all I need to get started or do I need a nunchuck thing as well? Please help me I will have a nervous breakdown if I do not get the latest toy straight away!!! (wife typed last bit!)

Bare minimum you need a Move controller — with the orb on top — and a PlayStation Eye camera. If you don't already have the latter, you're looking for the following, which you should be able to find for around £40:

If you already have an Eye then you just need a seperate Move controller. You won't get a demo disk going down this route, but most of the contents of that are downloadable via PSN; by the looks of things one or two aren't, for some reason.

The Navigation Controller — the thing that looks like a Wii Nunchuk — isn't essential, it's just a more ergonomic solution than using the left-hand side of a regular PS3 controller in one hand. You'd be better off putting the money towards another Move controller, especially as I imagine most brick-and-mortar stores will be charging full RRP for a Navi; if you really want one Amazon seems to be the cheapest option at the moment.

72% accuracy on the first level of RE5, 73% on the 2nd

it seems a good game but that chick is very annoying, she seems to want to be on camera at all times, constantly running and standing in front of me getting in my way :hmm: co-op is defo the way to go.

I know they got alot of stick for letting you have use the DS3 as a secondary controller, but at no point did i actually notice that i was holding half an old skool pad. I was planning on getting a nav-con eventually, but i don't think i'll bother now, i'd sooner put the money towards another move remote. i would advise people to try using the DS3 out before buying a nav-con.

Let's get some co-op on. Send me a message when you are online.

btw, I am at 3-2 now, anyone know if there are restrictions to co-op? Do we need to be on the same level for example?

Btw, for anyone that can't get to a HMV, just came back from Tesco and they are selling the move edition of Eyetoy for £16. The only thing that the one near us had left hardware wise was a navi controller, completely sold out of everything. Went into Blockbusters and they had masses of Move Starter Kits for £49.99  , they don't really have a clue.

Has anyone got Tiger Woods 2011? Is that good with the Move?

I'm assuming it has a Move patch already? Maybe not.

It has a patch but going by what OPM are saying about it, it's utter balls because none of the stuff like Focus works with the Move Controller and you have to use the pad. They gave it a 4
