The Playstation Move

Archery was a really popular game this evening too, espescially with the two controllers. It certainly adds an extra layer of immersion to the experience.

How are you holding the controllers in Archery?

It feels right with two, but if I hold the bow straight ahead of me like it shows, my arm and Move keep getting in the way of my sights. It's a bit irritating. Holding the controllers down at my hip solves this issue, but it doesn't feel as good and I can't quite aim as quickly and accurately.

It that just the way the game is, or is there a way to take the proper stance and not have parts of my body get in the way?

Well considering Time Crisis: Razing Storm seems to be compatible with both the Move and Guncon 3, hopefully, hopefully Namco will actually release some sort of Point Blank compilation with the same sort of compatibility. I love that game but my purchase of a LCD HDTV has killed the old games I still have :(

A lovely little touch on Sports Champions is when you grab an arrow from your quiver the vibration makes a little vwoomph! noise as the 'shaft' passes your ear, very subtle but so

And yes, Tumble gets harder and harder. I'd love some DLC that just had the demolition puzzles in, I love figuring those out more than anything else in the game.

Cheers Wickedkitten! I'll start that Heavy Rain download before I go to bed tonight and might start a Move-led second playthrough this weekend.

I'd love to try Tumble but the store no longer accepts my debit card, despite all the details being correct. So i guess that's £7.99 of my money they've saved themselves having to receive.

I find sony's store and online front-end to be considerably more frustrating and difficult than MS's.

There is a demo of Tumble available, and if you like it there's always PSN cards. The UK store is bloody awful though, not a patch on the US one.

I think the trouble might be that I have a US PS3 so have a US log-in and a UK one. Howver, I've only ever used the UK log-in, the US was just to access the US store which I've never really bothered with..

The online billing management, as via the link just above, seems to default to my US (hotel) address but I've checked and updated the card details/address etc when logged in to my UK accountand all are correct (and confirmed as so by the PS3). However when I go to pay I'm told the card is invalid.

It's all rather frustrating as the account/card etc has worked fine for years.

I have a US PS3 with US account as my main user and I make purchases on both stores fine. On the US I use PSN cards and in the UK I use my debit card, but both accounts use different addresses (random for my US!) and two different emails, the debit card is invalid for US use.

Are you trying to use your UK card on your US account?

No, no, it's the same UK card tied to the same UK account as it has been since day one. The store just doesn't seem to like it anymore.

I'm heading down to southern Italy for the FAME festival tomorrow but I'll give sony a call when i get back next week...

You've probably checked, but have you had a new card since you got your PS3? It'll have a different security code and expiry date. Trips a lot of people up.

http://www.vg247.com/2010/09/23/thq-kinectmove-development-provides-cheap-alternative-to-core-games/

Jumping up and down and waving your arms about like a lunatic/horrifyingly happy family is hard.Developing a game where you do that, however, is not.

“They are more mass-market type games. The cost of games for Kinect and Move is a fraction of what it is for the stuff we showed for you on the screen [Red Faction: Armageddon and Homefront],” THQ CEO Brain Farrell said during the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference in New York.

“They are just simpler forms of game where it’s more based on your movement and the input device; not on fantastic art and very complex animations. That’s the other reason we like those two products – the cost of development is much lower than for the other core products.”For the sake of your brand new Move controller that’s already trying on fashionable winter coats of dust, we sure hope other developers don’t share THQ’s mentality.

Do you pretty much need to get the Navigation controller on top of the main Move controller? Can you use a 6-axis instead?

It depends how you sit when playing games.

I always sit forwards, with my elbows rested on my legs, holding controllers out in mid-air, so a DualShock simply wont do.

It you are a lolling back kind of gamer, able to rest the DualShock on your leg, the Navi isn't a necessity.

I sit forwards whilst holding the DS3 with my hands resting on my thighs so holding one arm out with the move with the other resting in my lap isn't that bad.

Can't you hold it in one hand without resting on anything? Generally I rest it on my leg but if I sit like you do (which I do now and again) I just hold in one hand.

Big hands.

Ladies.

Right, just had a wee go on Move, got Sports Champions - all good fun. Question: is there any way I can get my hands on Tumble other than directly though PSN. I can't get my PS3 at work past our company firewall and, seeing as though it's hooked up to 65" of 3DTV, I'm really keen to give Tumble a go with the Move controller.

No way jose. Talk it for a walk to a wifi hotspot you can access.

I picked this up for yesterday for my kids after the praise it's received on here.

Unfortunately, first impressions are not favourable at all. All in all it's pretty unusable for my kids.

It moves exactly where you move it, how can it possibly be unusable? All your kids have to do is stand in front of the TV and whack things on the TV in Start The Party!
