As far as game adaptations go I'm a little intrigued by this. After all it was essentially a Hollywood action adventure with some shockingly good voice acting and dialogue. Now hopefully they cast Nathan Fillion in the lead.

Yup seeing as the voice actor is doing a fillion impression all the way through the first game. It can only be him IMO

ooooh god i hope they dont do to uncharted what they did to hitman!

i looove uncharted its one of my favourite games on the PS3 and can not wait for the new one coming out at the end of the year

but i have to admit the film will pretty much be a Indiana Jones meets national treasure meets a bit of tomb raider film haha

This is Hollywood, it'll be a very painful experience for the game creators I predict.

Sony own Naughty Dog, as do they the movie studio that'll be distributing it. The people with any degree of editorial control or veto over not this think gets written, re-written or cast for that matter won't be Amy Henning and her team. It'll be the a "brand manager" at SCEA's head office.

It'll have a massive task to live up to the hopes of fans of the games, as the game is so good. Plus the helicopter fight gameplay video at E3 was better than any action sequence Hollywood have served up in a long time.

I want this to be good, but I fear it'll be another car crash of a game to film venture despite the source material being resonable movie fodder.

The most logical thing to do would be to use the actors from the game. They're all professional actors after all, and the characters are moddled after them.

Given that the guy who plays the lead is a bit podgy and not as handsome as the games character model, it would be a pretty bad move.

So we all want either Nolan North or Nathan Fillion right? Well, if North is to be believed, the producers have ignored everyone and want Hugh Jackman for the role. ;)

I know I read on Kotaku- I don't want Wolverine to be Nathan Drake it's just wrong. Nolan could gym it up for the role, hardcore- but he's not a hollywood name. Emily Rose would be perfect too if Elena was in it- she's GORGEOUS, even more so if you see a video of her online and see Elena's voice coming out of her mouth.

And Nathan Fillion, is the ONLY actor who I can think of who could pull off Drake's charm and boyish attitude to danger and adventure. Anyone who's seen any Firefly or Castle or even played ODST will know he is also a king of one liners. He's the only dude I can think off that could sitll be Drake without North's voice.

I don't think anyone who's even remotely familiar with Uncharted would look at Hugh Jackman and think of Nathan Drake. It's purely because they're thinking of the numbers of bums on seats.

Hopefully all involved will die in a plane crash somewhere above the ocean, where sharks can finish off any survivors.

My choice for Elena:

Charlize Theron if you didn't know. She's a big enough Hollywood name that they could probably get away with casting someone like Fillion or North as the lead.
