Well play guys much better, we were unlucky not to get something from that second game, our defence was superb tonight. Tomox done great in DM and Vinnie supported well. We got bunched up at the end there and needed to go for the simple passes instead of through balls.

City are a top team as well and we made them look average. Played lads!

I was playing the simple pass all game, it just seemed that the game was picking the wrong player to pass the ball too, wasn't as precise as the first game.

Pompey, with you shooting like that, I should of had a go myself :P

The main difference between the two games.

We scored the best goal of the night when we had some nice simple passing too.

I don't know why we're not playing the short simple pass. IIRC, we were excellent up top two seasons back because we played that way. Anyway, not here to criticise, but it was a bit shit having the ball come back to us at the back so quickly and so often :P.

edit: Woo, they gave me 400 points as well, so it's not a total wash out!

I'll take it, I deserve it with my two goals and outstanding results against Baring in the 1v1 league. B)

Good games last night boys. I think that we should be very happy to come away with one win, especially given 'that' chance in injury time at the end of the second game. You were quality all over the pitch, esp. the full backs whi didn't give our wingers any time or space to whip in crosses. And whoever was Rooney was the best player on the pitch last night, looked dangerous each time they got the ball. You seem a bit hard on your attacking in the second game, in fairness I think our defense was a big part of that! Great games though, and what BAP should be about! None of this 9-2 business!

You looked almost back to your best of a couple of season ago last night! Cheers.

Billy being the Any. What do you lot reckon? There's gaps due to Tom and Chris being out so it's a bit of a mess. I'd like a dedicated DMF as a single player, and we need at least three of the defence to be individual people too, really. Any suggestions on who could be our Any? I've put Billy in there, but we can have someone else if you lot prefer.

Any criticisms/suggestions let me know please :(.

Go read the other threads and tell me how often people have said "I'm so glad we had an AI defender, it worked a treat". Then tell me how many times people say "Fuck! That's the last time we ever have an any at the back!".

I vote to give Joe the any role. He beat Baring, so he must be doing something right.

Also, I'm not sure Vince has much defensive play about him. He's done very well in attacking midfield roles though, so seems a bit odd to change that.

Woah. Calm down, there :(. You know I'm a lover of a full back-four, man.

You're probably right about Vinnie really. I'll wait for other people to have their say about the Any and who to give it to, though.
