Right, before I say anything else, there's this which may sound unduly harsh but it has to be said:

If you're in any way, shape or form likely to be anything other than fully committed to completing every single one of your matches, please don't sign up.

So, if you're not likely to be available for a decent portion of time in the evenings and weekends, please don't sign up. If you're off on holiday for three weeks***, please don't sign up. If you've got a massive project imminently looming at work that means you might have to stop playing, please don't sign up. If you're not going to be willing to quit out your session on Samurai Bikini Squad to get a quick match in, please don't sign up. If you're thinking of trading SFIV next month, please don't sign up. And so on, you get the drift :( We had people barely completing a few weeks last time which was, quite frankly, taking the piss. Despite all that, this league is, of course, just a bit of fun and nobody knows what the future holds, but lets try and set out in the right way and make things easier for the people running the show as well as better for your fellow competitors, hopefully at least by now people have a good idea of if they're still feeling any love for the game at least :blah:

Anyway, now you've had a good hard think about whether you can fit in about 20 minutes a week, post your application in rllmuk - gamertag - character format like so:

stefcha - stefcha - Cammy

And I can't remember if case is important, but let's say it is so please get it right just in case.

Please use this thread for signups only - any questions and queries can go in another one I've created. Also will be sending PMs to everyone who participated the first time, posting daily in the SFIV thread and messaging everyone on the rllmuk SFIV gamertag, if I can. Signup deadline is 5pm Saturday 11th July, hopefully this'll give enough time to get everyone onboard given I'll need to set everything up afterwards and deal with what happens regarding last season's standings before I go on holiday.

***Seeing as it's already been mentioned, it's worth clearing up that as long as you're willing to work out your backlog as soon as you can a couple of weeks holiday is fine - it's holiday season, so it's going to happen a lot but if you're off for three weeks that's probably a bit much to recover.

edit: Actually, I've just created a holiday thread, can everyone post when they're off in there please?

I am away from the 11th of July to the 18th, but anyone who has played me so far will know that I'll always drop what I'm doing for SFIV and I will get my matches done in a timely manner whenever this is humanly possible. I know you specifically mentioned going off on holiday being a reason not to sign up, but I imagine if people can still sign up until the 11th that it won't be starting for a little while after?

After the 18th I'll endeavour to make myself available to play as frequently as I can. Most weekday evenings are good and I'll be checking the forum regularly on my phone to see if my opponent has suggested a good time for them etc.

So yeah, I want in, and can start on the 18th. Is that acceptable?

btw given I did not participate last time and based on my abilities I am more than happy to start in the lowest league.

Also Nate Dog III you gotta join, if you can commit, as I only joined the forum to respond to your techno based SFIV technical jokes. Kevin Saunderson is playing London on the 11th and as my luck would have it I am in bloody France that day!

Not to start a whole new debate but any scope for having two characters - Sagat is my better character for the win but el feurte is someone I enjoy playing a bit more. Be nice to have the choice. How did those who particpated last time find the restriction?

Two characters is a lovely idea as I fell in love with Rufus half way through the season and would totally have used him a bit more given the opportunity.

Count of 22 players so far. PM'd everyone who played before, and messaged everyone on the rllmuk SFIV gamertag also, if anyone knows that someone who wants to play isn't around at the moment let me know. As it is, 3 divisions or 8 or 9 would work out pretty well :)
