Dune - Denis Villeneuve to direct!

Recommended Posts

I’ve just realised something

The dune theme tune is so ingrained in me...using anything else is going to feel un-dune

I love the Brian Eno theme and the Toto music for David Lynch's film too.

I'm so excited to hear what Hans Zimmer has composed for Denis Villeneuve's Dune though.

Prisoners, Sicario, Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival are all fucking bangers, so I am really looking forward to this.

I like the lynch version but as you say villeneuve has done some great films so I'm really looking forward to this.

I've not been a great cinema goer recently but I could be tempted to splash for something like this on a good iMac experience.

Have you seen Apple prices? Bigger screens are very expensive. And woe betide anyone who needs a stand for one.

Ha, funny thing is I corrected that once. I must not have noticed auto correct turned it back again.  Bit enfuriating that tbh.

I dunno it was a good tune in the day, but it's kinda dated now.

Enemy is amazing.

I'd been meaning to get round to it for ages so rented it tonight. A Lynchian headfuck drenched in symbolism if ever there was one. He'll be perfect for Dune.

Same.

May as well just fill this thread with Dune-inspired tunes until a trailer appears.

Same, but the J Saul Kane version is superior.

Been listening to the whole Toto led album again all last week. Great soundtrack.

I really bounced off 'Enemy' and not just because of that nightmare fuel last fucking shot that it has. I've loved everything else he's done though so excited for this. Have never seen the Lynch version or read the books.
