I thought both those achievements (keep the throttle down constantly and dont change posture) were brilliant. Really made you approach the levels in a different way and also taught you how to have even more control over the bike.

The learning curve in this game is probably the best I've ever experienced. Nothing is every unfair.

Aye, when I 1st tried the Groundhog Returns one I thought it would be near impossible. In the end It was my own impatience costing me. Amazing how much each level teaches you and how easy it is to then go back. ;)

Not Trials related, but after someone in here suggested this could be the Super Monkey Ball of this generation (which I agree with), I went looking for this:

What. the. fuck?! An Inferno II platinum looks about a 1000 times easier than that.

FAO Shoinan and Meatball, i've only gone and bloody got this ain't I! Addictive little thing, controls are very well balanced, short technical courses that allow you to open the throttle up as well and it's all very pretty but what makes it is the instant restarts, they just don't allow you to stop playing!

Add me on live so I can get some motivational benchmarks up!

Me, my daughter and her boyfriend all played this together having 30 attempts each. We had a real laugh however we've got to the last hard level "King of the Hill" and we can't get over that first crate at the top of the hill. Do we need a different bike to the one we're using (I think we've only unlocked 3) or are we missing a technique which hasn't been needed thus far?

Last level of extreme is kicking my arse. It's that final hill climb bit, so fucking annoying. Looking on a Youtube vid it looks like it could be the last really tricky bit left as well.

It is. I was given the advice of using the forward-release-forward technique. Releasing the stick just as you hit the vertical bit of the steel girder. Now I can get up in about 20 goes as opposed to the 100-odd it used to take.

I think it can be done with either of the 250cc bikes. Probably a bit easier with the Evo as it has more poke. The unlockable bike is a micro-bike which I actually found harder to use because it has a very different centre of gravity.

You need to rev and shift your weight backwards to get the front wheel up, then throw your weight forwards to get the back wheel up. Then probably lean back again to help the back wheel get traction on the box.

Try pressing Y to load the leaderboards, choosing Overall (the default is Friends) and then pressing Y again to load a replay by one of the top players. You can see what bike they used and what their control inputs were, which may help.

I'd say it's not the last tricky bit. The very last jump is a total bitch and took me over my 500 attempts a couple of times.

:D

Gold all the way to end of Hard done. King of the Hill was a pain as I could either break 2:20 but get too many faults, or I got 6 faults but a high time. Well just put in a mammoth effort and got a 1:34.027 with 4 faults. Meatball has me beat because I was an idiot right at the end and instead of stopping myself and steadying for the final little bit, I dropped and went. I mistimed the jump and went from 3 to 4 faults. :)

Cheers. Didn't know you could see replays before you'd completed the course. I'll try this later.

Ultimate Endurance done with 17 faults and I'd say about 6 of them were just stupid fuck ups.

That £20's gonna be mine Gussy :D

*holds it up to the light and flexes it*

This cash is safe as houses. 17 faults? You need none mate. 6 fuck ups? That's 11 to go... :)
