Is it a major design flaw that the Wii doesn't have a C-stick/Right Analogue?

bet your pumped for natal.

The wiimote isn't the reason that the wii isn't host to snooze racers

Hey I love excite trucks and quite like a blast of mario kart with my 14 year old daughter. And I ddon't particularly buy for sim based driving games often either. But if I did I doubt any would be on the wii. The lack of a pad didn't stop me from loving Twilight Princess either but its a game that had no need and minimal use of waggle. A third party developer looking to make a third person action/adventure is currently faced with the choice of having to build in wii mote functionality (sword swishing) or make the game for the 360/PS3/PC - what do you think most of them do?

If all wii owners also owned a game pad as well as a wii mote, do you think that driving games would natural be made around the wii mote? Or third person action games?

I think a lot of developers would just fall back on the Classic Controller if they could, but it wouldn't be because the Wiimote wasn't capable enough.

if they put a decent team on a dedicated game designed for the Wii (that wasn't too quirky - see MadWorld) they'd do well.

See Silent Hill.

I don't think I've ever played a decent 'real' racing game on any Nintendo console so I doubt if it's anything controller related.

about the last decent real racing game I played on a Nintendo console was Top Gear Rally on the N64.

The simple fact of freeing my hands a bit by separating the controller made TP a more comfortable experience than previous Zeldas. And there has already been two decentish third party action adevntures on Wii, with a sequel to NMH on the way. The Wiimote ain't the issue.
