Okamiden - The Legend of Okami

This does not need a sequel, if anything...people just need to get off their collective arses, abandon the shit game they are currently playing/post moaning posts about on rllmuk. and FINISH THE ORIGINAL.

It's huge. It's Three games on one disk.

It ends Three times, you think the game is done after 12 hrs of awesome Zelda-lite and your away off again on another adventure. Then it all ties up nicely at the end.

Incredible fucking game and very generous. It's done. Finished.

Apparent Famitsu magazine scans are out, revealing what would appear to be the promised "Okamiden" game. We can't see the title in this scan, but if an Okami sequel and an unrelated game called Okamiden were revealed at the same time, it would be a pretty weird coincidence.

If this is real, it shows a DS sequel to Clover Studios' beloved PS2 action-adventure game, which captures the original's watercolor style admirably, if a bit blockily. Of course, the DS is even more of a natural for the Okami paintbrush mechanic than the Wii is!

Just like to second this.

I'm playing it through on the Wii at the moment for the first time, and it's one of the most beautiful, inventive, life affirming games I've played in a long time, if not ever. Thank goodness for the summer drought.

(Though secretly I'm quite interested in a DS sequel to play in front of the telly while the Mrs is watching XFactor)

I too, am both pleased and dissapointed by this. However, I am not suprised in the least.

One more reason to FUCKING FIND my DS. It's around here somewhere dammit! Wait, what's that? Oh it's you psp. Have you seen my DS? No? Then GTFO!

When I'm excited about an sequel it's because I think there is still much to explore in this universe and no other game is like it so would be a shame if nothing similar ever arises again. I really miss that world and think you could do so much more to the brush mechanic. I don't even think it's that important to play as the same Okami, maybe this time Okami is something else.
