The Great Buck Howard

Just saw this on a flight but had never even heard of it before then. It's a Tom Hanks produced film starring John Malkovich and Hanks' son, Colin, who is a nut that fell pretty close to the tree by the way, who drops out of law school to find himself and becomes a road manager for The Great Buck Howard, an ageing magician.

It basically follows the story of Howard's ongoing tour around small American towns and his often bizarre personal behaviour with Hank's character narrating the proceedings. It's pretty sedate and jammed with cameos but genuinely charming. Howard is a personality that only Malkovich could conjure up. He's detestable but you really do get to love him.

Anyway, I think this has just been released on DVD so you should probably watch it.
