Unless that is exactly what the guy said, that bit about Josh doesn't exactly prove that co-op was added later in the day at all...

It's a translation of what Anpo posted on the Japanese development blog for the game and as he's the director of it, he should know whether the game was originally a co-op all the time title or not. Do people feel so aggrieved about Gears of War?, as that's what RE5 mimics in solo play.

I'm just trying out the new episode, it does seem to regain the creepy atmosphere of the original game, maybe just being in the mansion is enough so far. The costume pack 1 is incorrectly labelled as it contains the Warrior Chris and Fairy Tale Sheva, instead of Heavy Metal Chris and Business Sheva. The new mercenaries mode is just using the new characters, you get Excella and Barry Burton with this episode, Rebecca Chambers and Josh will be in the second.

In other news: Mercs Reunion is completely seperate to the regular Mercs, where you can only use the new characters, and the levels have different timer layouts, and enemy variants. Plus, brand spanking new leaderboards!

Looks like i gotta learn 'em all over again!

Also, Barry Burton is a fuckin' legend! Anyone who can headbutt a zombies clean off, is completely bad-ass in my book!

for anyone not sure about getting this , my barry just said "what IS this ! " The extra level bit is a little short , being only a chapter, but its nice to have since it cost the same for the dirtty broken mistake that versus was.

I really enjoyed playing through lost in nightmares (in coop). It did feel closer to RE1 than 5 and was rather tense at the beginning. The new monster was fun to fight all in all a good way to spend 400 points. Also Barry headbutting a zombies head clean off is awesome.

Yeah, Lost in Nightmares is decent!

Very short though - we clocked it in 1 hour 7 mins. And that'll be trimmed now we know where to go and in what order etc.

Still, Mercs Reunion will give me hours of fun! Barry FTW!

Currently plowing through Pro mode with a mate and it's still great fun in co-op. Downloaded Lost in Nightmares as well, but haven't played it yet.
