locke_211
It's really heartening to see the Dead Space: Extraction score, the way people have been so down on it makes me glad to see it do well!

Xevious
FIFA 10 - 9 Excellent. The Beatles: Rock Band - 7 Rubbish. Professor Layton and Pandora's Box - 7 Pretty much right. Still great though. Metroid Prime Trilogy - 8 Pah.
SuperBrother
The Beatles: Rock Band - 7 Dead inside etc. I've never played a more lovingly crafted game, the whole thing just oozes quality and charm. Clearly Egde have picked this as their contraversial score of the year.

Sprite Machine
Dead inside etc. I've never played a more lovingly crafted game, the whole thing just oozes quality and charm. Clearly Egde have picked this as their contraversial score of the year. It's not that controversial. It's not like they gave it a 2 or something. (I'd give it an eight, probably. It's as lovingly crafted as an expansion pack could possibly be, but it doesn't do much new and it lacks the range of music the full Rock Band games have. It's definitely social/party game of choice at the moment, though. )

delb2k
Have they though? I've played it and while its certainly a good game its not exactly that new in its mechanics (bar the harmonies, but how many of us have 3 singers around?) and in some ways its slightly poorer (beatlemania can make the fret board quite hard to read when it kicks in, you do feel they have missed some of the more obvious songs and the online implementation is more confusing than it needs to be) I think a 7 is about right. I have enjoyed it but dont feel really really compelled to actually finish it, the presentation is amazing but the song selection is far smaller than just about any other rythem action game and truth be told its really all stuff you have seen before. I would guess thats why GH5 has also scored a 7. Again the new things it brings in are just a bit of window dressing, its nice but nothing that fundamentally changes that much. There are still boards, still note charts, just different songs. The more you like the songs, the more you get out of it but the genres not really moving forward that much. K
ODST is easily a nine. It’s better than Halo 3 in some respects! Better multiplayer, more consistent campaign, etc etc.
kloid
Tempted to buy just for the Demon's Souls review. Maybe I'll just be that guy who stands in the shop and reads an entire article. Haven't done that in yonks. Still no word on an actual PAL release for the game is there? They're pretty much tying this review (probably of the Asian release) in with the launch of the US version I'm assuming.

It's essentially a call to import the game now it's been fully translated, I'll wager. My copy's late again, evidently.
