yeah the defence did that well last night, i was on about every second game as a whole. Yesterday was the first game you did it, and it went well and we won...

i was merely voicing my opinion :( and i agreed with you in the dribbling aspect, and as i said, i will pass it out quicker next week...

this is why we need to get practice in !! so we can work on what went well and what didnt, and also try new things.

oh and btw, i was 'bob' :)

First of all Meerman, i really like his style of play at RB, and if he has the chance to drive forward and get a cross in/ bulk up the attack then he should do, as long as he can get back as well, its what most wingers do and i think he is really good when doing it.

Aye cheers. I usually need to work in-tandem with the RCB for that to work: If I fuck up, he needs to cover my back whilst I try to take over the RCB position for him instead while he's doing my RB work. Can you give Rogue a faster player though?

I agree on the dribbling; don't do it for too long. The quick volley passes tend to confuse the opposition big time (we did it when I was at Rovers) so I'm a big fan of it.

Also, mark your man. Don't passively wait until your opponent receives the ball; disturb their passes. PRESSURE!

Don't think there's anything wrong with the fullbacks getting forward as long as there's someone covering which is my job really.If you're planning on getting forward let me know and I can drop into the gap.I shuold probaly try and make myself more available to the defence as well for the safe pass as too often the only option was down the line.

Well for what it's worth, I have noticed loads when playing with the DVDF, and now this season that through balls are crap - they can be effective, but more often than not, they are hopeless.

Trouble is because of single player, it's almost an reaction at times to use them. Once you hit the button you know it ain't gonna work. Saw it time and time again last night with through balls going nowhere.

They just don't seem to work in BAP games.

Yep, the DM and RCB should help out the fullbacks when they can.

If Rogue's covering for me, his gap should be filled by either me or the CM. Whoever's first. Same on the left flank with Heretic. It's a chess game.

EA's nerfed the through balls this time. Only use them when there's a huge gap.

It's not too much of a problem most of the time but I can't always read your crazy runs so just let me know when the Meertrain is leaving the station :)

yeah im pretty happy with being a defender, we did it at City last Season and ednded up winning the cup! Hopefully we can have the same success this time.

If i may be so bold... i reckon we should have it something like this (depending on who is playing):

RB: Hannay

LB:Me

LCB: Pompey

RCB: Chris

CDM:Joe

LM:Donk

RM:Mick

CAM: Craig

LS:Meerman

RS: Rogue

gives all the usual forwards a chance in defence, and all the defence a chance for being forwards...

Meerman likes attacking on the right normally, so stick him up front and see what he does :omg:
