RPL Athletic Dressing Room - Season 7

Ball didn't seem to go through the centre of mid at all the second game. We seemed to play two totally different games, first, reasonable fluent passing, second more hit and hope - although they picked up a lot in the second and seemed to close us down a lot better.

Rogue, you'll be happy to know that you got a 1.2 in that second game :omg:.

New record low... bap achievement unlocked. It was also my first ever 'own goal' after 6 seasons as a defender.

It's a good job I was rated 18 in that first game, it'll average out quite nicely..... *cough*

Luckily for you, the managers were told not to stoop below 2.0 when reporting. As such, your rating has nearly doubled :omg:.

Don't think I've ever seen two such contrasting BAP games before. We looked solid in the first but the second was just  Who cursed us by saying we'd be top if we won both games?

Apologies!

Have to say everyone was a bit quiet tonight. I could only hear Craig and Joe's voice, need more communication! Agree with Mick though, two completely different games, well played in the first guys.

I though it was

To be fair, after the way we played in the first game I'm sure everyone was thinking the same thing.hopefully this is our nightmare result out the way.

Manager, none of this 'stay in line' nonsense tonight please. Not for us fullbacks anyway. I agree that the centrebacks need to stay in-line, but for the full defence it seems a bit too theoretic and leaves SUPERMASSIVE holes between the defence and midfield when we're trying to build up an attack.

You need the fullbacks to build up an attack over the wings. Give us a bit more freedom. I promise I won't venture upwards too much, and be back in time to fall back into the defensive line. I need that freedom too to disrupt the opponent's attack as well. I can't do that when I have to maintain a strict line. Let me show you tonight. It worked wonders back when I was in Rovers, with the RCB backing me up and vice versa. I wasn't RB of the season for nowt, you know! :)

I've got a day off tomorrow, so I can stay up late tonight. :)

I'm happy to do that as long as the midfield can come back a bit further when defending.

Indeed, if the midfield is playing in diamond formation (4-4-2), the defending midfielder can help out in the back. He then stays in line with us fullbacks more if we're slightly ahead of the centrebacks. ;)
