Inevitable really. Still not seen part two but reading through the thread on here I'm not sure if I'm going to chance it ;)

Director Michael Bay has announced on his official website the release date for Transformers 3 and says they are jumping right back into it! Oh, and he included a note to Megan Fox as well...

Well its official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012.

Today is Day One. This morning started with an ILM meeting for five hours in San Francisco. Currently I'm flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters.

P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.

Pain and Gain is right after shooting of Trans 3.

Michael

This puts it up against the Peter Berg-directed Battleship, also based on a Hasbro property, so we're guessing Universal will be moving that adaptation somewhere else.

Transformers made $709.7 million worldwide and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has made $832.4 million.

The summer of 2011 is shaping up to be quite amazing. You can check out the May through August releases that year here. (And don't forget Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is scheduled for Summer 2011 but doesn't have a firm date yet!)

:D:);):P:omg:

I don't care if it was the most inevitable news ever, or you think they were crap, I really enjoyed both films and am looking forward to more big robots smashing the blurry shit out of each other interspersed with gratuitous shots of the Fox.

Cinema-goers! Recreate the experience of any of Michael Bay's Transformers films by bashing yourself in the face with a die-cast Optimus Prime figure until your vision blurs and you can't make anything out. For extra immersion, have a CD player blasting out brand names at top volume.

I imagine Megan Fox is locked in for three films, same possible as Lebeowulf. Fox probably needs it more than him after Jennifer's Body flopped.

After her little outburst, saying Michael Bay is like "hitler" I very much doubt they want her for a third film.

In the other thread there was some fawning from Bay so she'll be back in.

Personally, I'm beyond caring now. I though the first one was amazing fluff, but the second one...TOO MUCH HUMAN SHIT!!! Prime kicked fucking arse but there was so much confusion and padding. Such a mess.

We can only pray that Bay sees an old episode of Max Headroom and decides to use Blipverts technology to film the next one, thus killing the braindead-mongfuck-die-die-die audience in a glorious shower of exploding heads in theatres across the world and restoring sanity back to the cinema experience, if but for a brief while.

  • 3 months later...

Here we go then...

http://denofgeek.com/movies/396518/transfo...ls_forward.html

Work on the third Transformers film continues at pace, and it's now been revealed that the movie will be heading before the cameras in May of this year. Considering how much trouble one or two films seem to be having with their production schedules at the moment, this must come of something of a relief for Paramount.

Director Michael Bay is once more behind the camera, with Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and a shitload of computer effects in front of it. Ehren Kruger is taken on writing duties this time. Expect Bay to leer even more at Fox this time around, now that they're buddies again.

The film is set for release on July 1st 2011, and more details of which Transformers are set to be included will be revealed over the coming months (don't expect Dinobots, though)...

I don't think I've ever hated a franchise and everything to do with it so much.
Good call. I can't decide which one's existence I'd rather wipe from the history books. At least Twilight fans are funny, I suppose.

Crazy thought but how about you just don't watch them then. Mental I know but worth a try.

Anyone involved with the production of this mockery of the cinematic arts should be executed via electric chair. Anyone who pays to watch it should be castrated with fucking big scissors before they're allowed to leave the cinema.

Wait, no, that's a bit harsh. Lets say lethal injection and chemical castration respectively, no need to be excessively cruel about it.
