ISS/PES is the king of in-game commentary surely. Here's a few of my favourite lines:

"CROSSES!"

"Once again that goes back to the age old debate about referees who haven't played the game at the highest level"

The US commentary on the Gamecube MLS game was good too....

Also I think there was one PES where he would sometimes randomly let out a noise like he had just ejaculated.

Sadly no footage of 'Goal-u kick-u' my personal favourite line.

The commentry in NFL2K5 was awesome and is easily the best in any game.

And it was also funny at times too. I was playing a game against a mate and I was controlling the running back and decided the run the wrong way.

After about 20 secs the commenter suddenly said

"Somebody give this guy a compass, doesn't he know which way to run."

This is so far and away the correct answer it is untrue. Although the best line is definitely:

That was every time the one-two button was pressed. Matches at my stadium frequently became:

Yes like a lot of thingss about that game the commentary in that was excellent, very real and natural sounding. They used voice actors rather than real commentators, which may have been partly why it worked so well.

The best commentary in any sports game is Trevor Brooking in PES ... 3, I think. You'd be in the middle of a match, and all of a sudden Brooking would go "uuuuuuuggggghhhhhhhhhhhh" as if he'd just sat down on the toilet to have a great big shit!
