Well my stint at the top lasted about as long as I expected, after losing all three of last weeks games. Arse. Carlito eases back to the top, with two game in hand and a perfect record 'n' all. Extra effort to do him in chaps ;) Polmon and gfp engage in some Cammy on Cammy action at the bottom, surely Polmon's best chance yet to start a late charge having successfully lulled us all into a false sense of security so far? Excellent effort last week by the way, it looks like we got about a million games played or thereabouts so more of the same :lol:

Sorry mate, just fininshed playing giantfryingpan, and had to log off for food.

I'm around now though if you can squeeze me in?

Anyways, match result:

A win - finally! Three of the closest matches, despite all three being 2-0 in rounds, every round was dangerously close. Excellent friendlies afterwards too pan - always a pleasure, was gutted I had to leave.

This is why I need a new pad, that third match I was trying to ultra counter some things and did nothing but fuck it up. Bah. No excuse though, I wasn't pissing about just got well beat in the last! Thank god I'd won the first two :facepalm:

edit: and oh man, that game against dood, I love playing you lot but that's possibly the most enjoyable game I've ever played! I've made notes 'n' shit for when it's posting time for it.

I'm on tonight! Donk - let's try to get our one outta the way if at all poss.

Confidence reeling this week as I played a few games against the sickest Ryu at Casino last Thursday and was made to feel like a sickly newbie. Jeepers the learning curve for this game just keeps on going...

There was a bit of lag so I think we were both playing a little more cagily than we might normally have, which probably suited me better as I play pretty defensively anyway. That fullscreen ultra proved instrumental once again. I am a dick.

Quality match as always, full of nasty crossups and awkward focus attacks. Never a dull game vs Gozaimas.

Stefcha 3 - 0 Donk

Gave a much better showing this time rather than getting totally obliterated, but Stefcha's zoning cuts out any fireball game and when you have no SRK you're going to eat Cammy leg quite often. Screwed up far too many ultras and combos and paid the price once I got cagey and used less fireballs!

Don't lose heart, you did win a round :angry: The first was pretty close, I just happened to anticipate the fireball at the end with an ultra (I remember it working last time!) which goes right through them but it was a bit of a desperation tactic, and the second missing that ultra at the end let my ex hooligan combo complete and I was probably as surprised as you were, not often the slide gets through. Still, I'm not complaining, I took it a lot more laid back and pokey than usual in fear of the ultra from hell and it paid off. For once!

Gozaimas 1 - 2 Cale

Hands downs, that was one of the most heart-stoppingly epic and close set of matches I've played this season. I was determined to make a better show of it than in our first match up where I went down 3 - 0 in pretty meek fashion to a full on attack-mode Goz and managed to restore some pride - just!

I took the first match well enough, blew a great opportunity in the second for Goz to remain patient and equalise and then we really went at it in the decider. We both took a round so it was all hinging on the last one; both of us determined not to give the other a free combo, both with an inch of health left... I forget the exact circumstances but Goz throws out his Ultra at close quarters which probably would've done me in on chip damage and I was frantically mashing jump in one of those 50/50 scenarios hoping my spacing was good enough to get the old guy out the way. And hallelujah, I got out the way and managed to land my own ultra for the win.

My heart was going like billy-o and I was practically shaking at the end of it!

Great set of friendlies too where we both lost to the other with our old mains and royally duked it out in a few more matches.

Thanks, Goz. That was all immense. :angry:
