Music on TV

I've decided that Sky Arts is my new favourite channel.

I've just discovered From the Basement, showing on Sky Arts 1/HD every couple of days. It's like Jools Holland, but without the annoying compere, and only three artists per show so you get more tracks from each. The stripped down format of the show is superb, and lets you just concentrate on the music.

I've caught a few of the Songbook series as well, which have been pretty good, so that's series-linked as well now.

Video Killed The Radio Star has been good sometimes, although that's more about the videos than the songs.

But all of this has made me want to watch more music shows on TV. So what else is there?

Anything with Howard Goodall in it. Derek Bailey's series on improvisation in music called On the Edge is properly amazing. I can't say too much on current stuff because I haven't seen anything that i've liked apart from the krautrock doc on BBC4 a few weeks ago.
