What a shame this is going to be a shooter; this should have been a brawler. After all, they rarely had successful gun-fights in either the comics or cartoons. Having melee relegated to a spare button is a missed opportunity, I feel.

I'd play anything with Transformers in it, apart from that Michael Bay crap where Jazz got killed off before doing sod all, and Jetfire was some old fart (wtf?!?) :(

A Streetfighter-esque Transformers would be pretty cool though, if it was done by a reputable company B)

Megs super would blatantly be "eat black hole" bitch

Air Raid and Breakdown join the fray. (Which is a bit weird if the combiners aren't supposed to be in....)

I'm also getting the idea Primus took some design-tips from the Chozo in how to handle shoulders...

Weird - neither are especially well known/popular outside of that...

Unless they're being set-up for a sequel with the combining teams in...

Pretty random otherwise - they aren't ~that~ short of more well known flying Autobots and car Decepticons..

Do like the designs though...

Air raids jet mode is very reminiscent of dreamwaves jetfire

They look cool though!

Jetfire looks slightly different in this. A retools maybe.

Though I'm guessing they are going to use a lot of repaints and retools in total. (It's so odd you can apply those terms to in-game characters like that.)

I cant wait to get a good look at jetfire:)

Do you think there'll be an ultra magnus cameo repaint of prime? (that really is the weakest repaint that hasbro routinely put out)

2 new characters revealed.

IRONHIDE

Autobot

Class: Soldier

Chassis: Truck

Primary Weapon: EMP Shotgun

Abilities: Whirlwind, Dash

Description: Ironhide is the oldest Autobot on the team. He is the slowest Autobot on the team. He is also the meanest, toughest, orneriest Autobot on the team. He is most definitely yesterday's model, but he was built to last – seemingly forever. He is a soldier, first and foremost, but his tough exterior hides a deep compassion for life. He is one of Optimus' most trusted advisors on all matters.

SKYWARP

Decepticon

Class: Scout

Chassis: Jet

Primary Weapon: Thermo Rocket Launcher

Abilities: Cloak, Dash

Description: Skywarp possesses cloaking technology which he uses to sow destruction upon his enemies. Skywarp isn't the most intelligent Transformers character in the Decepticon force, so he needs to be continually guided and told what to do. Regardless, once set upon a path, Skywarp will achieve his goal with quiet, ruthless efficiency.

They probably will. Its an easy to way to make money, and its an activision game- so that will probably be at the forefront of thier minds.

I really want jazz. I saw the pic of him, and he looks the most like his g1 self

They better make that into an action figure!

Ah... That makes it all fall into place....

I thought it to be strange Ironhide and Soundwave were already sharing some aesthetics, but now that Jazz looks like a retooled Bumblebee and Shockwave seems to share some traits with Megatron it becomes clear there are going to be (maybe) a dozen models tops with different 'armour parts' bolted on to give the impression of separate characters.

Seems they are going to beat Hasbro at their own game. :hat:

Im not so sure. I agree about the others, but looking at jazz, he only shares one similarity with bumblebee, and its the wheel pod things on his arms. The rest of his body looks completely different to bumblebee.

I really dont like the bumblebee mold, as it makes him look really squat and fat, with wierd legs and arms, and the wheel pods are huge.but they've managed to fit them in more neatly on jazz with a much more boxy look.

Pootle- I was going to say that when I typed that post. I think those bits are actually attached to the top of the shoulder/neck area though....

Cant wait for a closer look!

Chest, arms, feet, all the same build, just different plating. I'm guessing this means Bumble and Meister share the same transformation animations with the similar parts falling into place just as similarly. They'll both probably be Scouts in terms of class/roles as well.

Also compare Jetfire's shot from behind with Air Raid's released artwork on the previous page. They seem to share similar part-specific positions as well.

Fuck's sake, the Main Man is far too guddamn cool to share a design with fucking Bumblebee. This absolutely will not do.

I really can't abide this whole thing about trying to make Bumblebee out to be a badass. He's shit. He always was shit and should always be shit. That's been the one good thing about him, that he tries regardless.

It's either that or being ripped in two because the director wanted to show how badass his vision was.

I still cant see it.

He doesnt have the same horrible spindly arms, spindley legs and fat middle that bee has. The only thing I can see thats similar is the wheels on the wrists, and even then the shaping is different, its just the placement.

To me, he looks far more G1 in shape and design. Whereas bumblebee looks like the design feel put some platiscine shapes together and thought it was art.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree:)

Your right about jetfire and air raid though, as I do think air raids alt mode looks the spit of jetfires war within mode.

Its a shame that jazz and shockwave are only mulitplayer characters :hat:
